My son is 12 years old and he is taking saxophone lessons with John Tracy. He is thriving and is already better than anyone else in his band class. My son enjoys working with John. I personally have played clarinet for over 30 years and can clearly tell that John really knows what he is doing.

Katherine Weintraub held the title of Professor of Saxophone at Florida State University for my first year of attendance. Working with her for just one year helped drastically improve my intonation and tone quality on both Alto and Soprano saxophones! Dr. Weintraub incorporates great practice techniques in her lessons that you can use in your personal practice time that will improve not only technique and tone quality, but overall musicianship. I would recommend taking lessons with Katherine Weintraub for students of all levels!

Ms Christina works very well with my 4 years old daughter. She is very patient and very detailed. My little girl started to have interest playing piano now. I highly recommend her as a piano teacher.

Mark was very accommodating and I liked the way he taught the music. He was honest and kept his appointments. Even though he taught a lot of children his approached still worked well for me.

About

A lot of music teachers only focus on technique and theory. And a lot of teachers just show people how to play songs. We show individuals how to do both. Having fun playing songs and knowing technique and theory are equally important, because if you just learn songs, you'll only know how to do that and not really know how to play an instrument. While technique and theory are important, it can be boring and frustrating to focus primarily on that. At New Tampa Music Lessons, we balance musicianship and fun by making sure that with each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept, but always end with something fun such as your favorite riff or song. We use a variety of method books to accomplish this and encourage students to bring CDs or their iPod to their lesson to learn their favorite tunes.

About

Many places run background checks on their teachers, as do we. However, we believe in our instructors to be focused on the individual needs of each student, and to provide an engaging and fun curriculum. However, we get a lot of attention due to our themed rooms, as well as our performance opportunities. We encourage our students to shine and truly show off what they've learned!
