FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard fee for mobile notary services is $10 per notarization, plus a travel fee, based on location. I have a flat fee for handling loan packages, depending on the type of loan.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask about the document requiring notarization or what type of notarial act is necessary. Based on the number of documents and the location of the appointment request, I offer a quote, and then will schedule the appointment. I confirm that the signer can produce valid identification, whether any witnesses need to be present, and remind them the document needs to be complete, without any blank spaces, other than any signature or initial lines.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A 3 hour notary course is initially completed to become a notary. In addition to that, I complete a yearly re-certification exam through the National Notary Association, which includes a background check. Title companies will additionally have their own lender-specific training courses which need to be completed prior to working with packages from those lenders.
