FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Adding embellishments such as beading to a gown requires hours of hand sewing which cannot be estimated ahead of time; for this type of detail work, I charge an hourly rate of $20
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our first meeting, which is complimentary, we will get to know each other and talk about your vision for your beautiful wedding day - the venue, the flowers, the ceremony and all those other wonderful details. We will analyze the different styles of gowns that you like and what you do not like. Then comes time for your measurements so it is important to have the type of undergarments that you will wear because this can seriously affect some critical measurements. Next comes the fun part, putting YOUR measurements into the computer and begin designing your gown! From this first meeting, I will have enough information to give you an estimate for the labor and materials to make the gown.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly discovering new sewing tricks, that make me say, why did I not think of this before?
