Introduction: My drawings are very realistic and are often compared to b&w photos. I am especially good with the expression in an animals eyes, which is one of the most important things in making the drawing look like the particular individual. When teaching, whether it is drawing or painting, I start with the fundamentals and work up from there. Though value studies and color therapy charts are less than exciting to do, they provide the foundation upon which everything else is built. Being challenged every time I start a new piece, and bringing joy and satisfaction to my clients.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually price my work according to size and difficulty, however, when working through Thumbtack, I am unable to discuss details until the quote is submitted. So if the project is simpler than what my quoted price justifies, I will make adjustments. If it is more difficult, I will stand behind my quote.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with them to allow them to review my portfolio and to discuss their project. If they are unsure exactly what they want, I work up a few rough sketches on the spot to settle on an idea. I then do a preliminary sketch for them to approve before doing the final project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am self-taught and have been freelancing for over ten years. I am currently working on my AA in fine art and am putting together a portfolio to submit to Ringling College of Art and Design. I have won awards at the last 2 art competitions at SPC, and had a piece accepted in the juried competition at the Clearwater campus gallery.
