Introduction: As an avid traveler, I find inspiration in the places I visit and typically incorporate novelties I find along the way into my work. My artwork is mostly characterized by my use of a jewel-tone palette and mixed media to create desired characters and objects. I love that I can work from home, and dive into something when I'm inspired. I feel that my best work comes about when I start on it as soon as it comes to mind, or when I'm approached with a commission or event date to work with.

I've worked with Laura in many capacities, including stagework where she provided essential costuming for a theater production, and also I've worn costumes & makeup she designed for various events. Her ability to work either within a time & money budget or with complete creative freedom is a great asset for your project, and the imagination she injects into existing or new ideas is refreshing and unexpected.

Halloween 2013. I asked Laura to perform a makeup job for a costume party. The facial artwork that she did won me first prize scariest makeup/costume at the Boothbay Harbor, Maine Halloween seasonal event. Laura worked with my facial features, blending textures that produced believable results. Her attention to detail, including accessories, produced prize-winning results. On improvements, I would have liked more information on how to maintain the makeup in hot or wet conditions. However, the makeup held up very well throughout the evening and I was the talk of the town for weeks. Thanks Laura!

Thanks Tom! I had a lot of fun doing that makeup and coming up with that costume. The makeup we used was water-based, so when you start dancing and sweating is is likely to come off eventually. I have since switched to an oil-based makeup for myself (and others) on the face only, which lasts all day/night. :)

Laura is pleasant to work with and extremely creative and talented. I am most familiar with her costume designs and make-up abilities, but have seen her art work and I think it is very good. I expect to see some extraordinary things come from her ingenuity and artistic inspirations.
