David quirdingo is an awesome trainer. He would taylor workouts for my specific goals. He is also motivational. Being concerned for my health and ability to complete workouts was a concern for me , which was one of his concerns also. He constantly made sure that my flexibility was up to par , and that I kept up with my numerous injuries therefore allowing me quality workouts. Nutrition is one of his concerns as he offered advice in that area as well. His pricing is affordable and his schedule is flexible. If you are looking for a great trainer I highly recommend David !

Chris was always punctual and professional. He really pushed me to work hard during our sessions and it was paying off. I had to cut the program short because I had to move but would recommend Chris to anyone who needed a personal trainer at a very affordable price.

This is personal training at its best! I watched Alex train and transform my son for about a year before I decided I needed his help. I've been training with him for six months now. This is his life, his passion. He has taught me how to work out properly and has motivated me to strengthen myself more than I ever imagined. I am blown away by what he can get my body to do. He is always taking the time to share his expertise w/you. The workouts are tough, always challenging but when I'm finished I can't believe what I accomplished and I can't wait to come back. When I'm having a tough time he knows how to clear my mind and get my game back on. This is truly a place for everyone, young, old, athlete or just out of shape. it's the best decision and investment I've made this year.

I did my first figure show at the age of 48 and placed last in every category. Hell yeah I was upset but decided not to give up and find the right trainer to get me to the next level, that trainer was Mike Gill. Mike got me back up on that stage at the age of 49 in women's physique category and I won 1st place. Mike will create a plan that works for you, I never did the same workout twice. If you want change Mike is the guy that will make it happen. I am stronger both physically and mentally

Working with Chris has been and continues to simply be one of the best experiences ever. I'm not only impressed by his knowledge about the body, nutrition and how to help me reach my goals, but how he actually 'cares'. He pushes me to be better, stronger and faster but above all he also pushes me to believe in myself. He is always looking out for me, taking the time to correct my form so that I work and target the muscles and help avoid injury (whereas moat coaches (in my personal experience) simply overlook this.)

Our guest rave about his catering and look forward to him coming back year after year. His special beef tenderloin simply melts in your mouth! Michael's passion for perfection supersedes the value he brings to the table. We highly recommend Chef Michael - trust me you will not be disappointed!

I'm a certified strength coach and personal trainer with a CSCS certification. The CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) certification is the industry gold standard and the toughest certification to attain and maintain. I have a bachelor's degree in nutrition science, so I'll be able to coach you on your eating as well. My years of personal training experience, coupled with years of experience as a competitive endurance athlete, make me well-equipped to assist you in achieving your goals, whether they be just to shed a few pounds, feel healthier and more vibrant, look better in your jeans, or take a couple minutes off your 5k. I charge only $35/hour. You absolutely will not find better rates anywhere. These rates are less than half of what I charged when I was working at the big-box gym that I left recently. Spaces in my schedule are limited, so please don't hesitate to email me if you're interested.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does a nutritionist cost?

A nutritionist provides expertise and guidance to help clients with all diet-related health matters, including losing weight, gaining muscle, improving their sports performance, and managing diabetes or high cholesterol. Nutritionists can help people learn to follow special diets in a healthy way, such as becoming vegetarian or vegan or developing a low-sodium or gluten-free eating plan. The average national cost of a nutritionist is $60 to $100. Nutritionists often require an initial consultation with a new client, during which they’ll take a medical history, assess the client’s nutritional needs, and determine the best course of action; this first meeting usually averages $100-$120 for a 45-minute to 90-minute consultation. Subsequent nutritional counseling sessions generally cost less, ranging from an average of $45 for a half-hour session to $60-$90 for a one-hour session. Like many professional service providers, nutritionists may offer discounts through package pricing. For instance, a one-month package with two sessions and email support costs an average of $190; a three-month package with three sessions and email support costs an average of $360; and a six-month package with six sessions and email support costs an average of $540.

Are nutritionists covered by health insurance?

Nutrition counseling can be a critical component of good health care, especially for people recently diagnosed with diabetes or high cholesterol who need to adhere to a specific diet. People also meet with nutritionists for help developing a healthy vegetarian or vegan diet, developing an eating plan to lose weight or gain muscle, or improving their sports performance by changing their diet. Nutritionists may be covered by health insurance depending on your reason for meeting with them. Nutrition counseling is more likely to be covered if it is part of a doctor-prescribed treatment for a particular medical condition, such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure or coronary heart disease. For example, Medicare covers medical nutrition therapy services only for people diagnosed with diabetes or kidney disease, as long as they get a referral from their doctor. Also, insurance providers more often cover nutrition visits if the patient has been referred to a registered dietitian within the carrier’s network of providers. Insurance plans vary greatly, so research your benefits before visiting a nutritionist.
