FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continuing education is one of the most important aspects of my job and I take it very seriously. I regularly attend certifications or seminars and can often be found with my head in a strength and conditioning textbook.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
While wrestling in high school I realized I enjoyed the training aspect a lot more than I enjoyed actually competing. Later, in the Army, I became the head of physical training for my company and very soon realized organizing training is what I loved to do! Nothing made me happier than helping my fellow soldiers become faster and stronger. As soon as I left the active duty Army I decided to pursue my passion and train others!
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Working with a client who had severe cerebral palsy. When he walked into our door he could barely walk straight, and not do a single step up on a short box without having stability issues. Within a short time of working with me he was able to walk straight, pick up heavy items with both hands, and even do step ups on a box holding 35lb weights in each hand! It was super exciting to see someone come along so far in movements that will help improve his quality of life.
