I have known Ms. Denaro for many years both personally and professionally. She has done several landscape designs and installations for me over the years. Her designs are creative and use materials best suited for placement. My yard continues to be the envy of the neighborhood. In childhood I hoped to break the home run record but now am happy to settle for the distinguished award of "Yard of the Month" from the HOA. I thank Ms. Denaro for all her help.

Mary Alice from Avant Gardens did an amazing job transforming my sand pit of a yard into a beautiful tropical paradise! She managed to come up with a creative array of plants that are not only drought tolerant and salt tolerant, but also very colorful, too. Not an easy task! This was several years ago, and my yard, thanks to her expertise, just gets prettier as my gardens mature. I highly recommend Avant Gardens Landscape Design!

Let's see - half the money paid upfront for plans but still after 6 months and 3 site visits, there's still not even a finished plan for even half the job - let alone any hope of getting the job done! Each site visit was like starting over. Disorganized. Asks for input but doesn't incorporate any desires. Seems knowledgable about plants and such, but can't deliver a usable product. STAY AWAY !!!!

I provided this customer with the final plans for both the hardscape patio and The Landscape Design plans. 2 full hard copies of the Landscape Design for both the front and back yard were mailed to them. This was finished fully on a 24 X 36 inch Landscape Architectural plans. Provided on the plans was a botanical plant legend showing the quantities, sizes and botanical and common names of all the materials to be used. The plans were were mailed to this homeowner and I received no response. I see this as a lack of communication. They have never called me to say that they were unhappy with how the project was going or the length of time that it was taking. The homeowners lived out of town as well as locally. NOT ONCE did I hear that they couldn't work with me, that they were unhappy, and that they wanted their money back or I would have provided them with the deposit. I had a computer issue getting the materials sent to them but as soon as I was aware I let them know that I was sending the plans on. I didn't ask for the balance of the project that I had quoted. Now they have a full plan for less than half the money. They were provided with the finished plans. Whatever they gave me for their desires were provided on the finished plans mailed to them. I sent them a note showing that their photos that they sent me of the plant materials were sent back to them and all were used on their plans. They have the usable product. They can hire any one they want to install the project with the plans that they have.

Mary Alice helped me transform my 1970s hardscape and landscape/jungle into a wonderful LOW MAINTENANCE paradise complete with tropical plants, a fire pit and water feature. I could have never done this without Mary Alice's guidance. AND above all, when some of the hedges did not survive, Mary Alice came and replaced them HERSELF with new plants and did not charge me! Mary Alice is a woman of her word and is a Consummate Professional! I highly recommend Mary Alice and Avant Gardens Landscape Design!!!
