Introduction: I really have a hard time with this question . My short answer: honestly, this question can only be answered by the people who judge your work. I am an artist in the true sense of the word. Its also a harsh reality that all artists have to deal with. I do my best with every musical or video project I'm involved with. I treat all the work I do as being part of my own. I love music and film and have remained passionate about the work I do. No matter what I have never let anything stop me from creating since my late teens.

Dennis Genovese turned out to be an excellent choice amongst the editors responding to my Thumbtack inquiry. He not only worked quickly and efficiently the moment he received the materials, but he was very helpful in providing good options for their delivery. He is an accomplished sound engineer as well, so his help with sound was invaluable. The editing choices were really left up to him, with no script or very much direction--and he did a very good job in interpreting and understanding where the project should go. He also responded well to corrections and re-edits, performed them well, and made them available quickly. I am very happy with Dennis' work, will definitely work with him again, and recommend him highly. In Dennis I have found another brother in the film industry to work with!!

Dennis Genovese is Central Floridas best-kept secret for Mixing/Remixing/Mastering, Editing and producing audiobooks and here's why: He's honest. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Some work has to be by the hour. My hourly fee is 25. I can block rate most projects but to [prevent my under or over charging, I need a lot of info about the job. Most always after some basic questions are answered, I will give a high & low cost parameter which will be determined when I have the actual work in front of me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly learning. It has never stopped. To keep abreast of the technological advances in audio/video you have got to self-educate. I taught audio/video production at Seminole State College for about 6 years and constantly advised my students to learn to self-educate.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
At the age of 18 I was recording with a group signed to Columbia Records by Clive Davis. We were at Bell Sound Studios making a record and I realized that I had a passion for musical arrangement. When I left the group in 1971 I also realized that to remain in control of my work I had better become a recording engineer as well.
