I have been seeing Vickie for training for many years now. I lover her enthusiasm and knowledge. If she doesn't know how to help me, she researches the issue to find a solution. She loves dogs, is great with people, and shares her knowledge willingly. She will accommodate your individual goals, whether you want a top notch competition dog or just a well-mannered pet. Classes are fun, too. I feel she provides great foundations to understand why certain things work, and why certain things happen when you are working. We were working on a dumbell retrieve with my dog and the more traditional means weren't working, so we tried shaping (operant conditioning), that worked for her and we had a retrieve in about 3 or 4 classes. Vickie doesn't give up if you don't! I highly recommend her and have sent many people to Javic. I also feel like I'm family to Vickie. That makes the relationship even better between trainer and student.

I met Vickie about 20 years ago when I was trying to show my first wire fox terrier in obedience. Before I met Vickie we were going no where fast. Vickie was patient and knowledgable. This was my novice A dog and she went on to earn her UD all due to Vickie's excellent guidance. The most valuable thing Vikcie helped me with was getting a reliable recall on my dog. That is a life saving skill and I can't thank Vickie enough. Plus how nice is it to stand at your front door greeting visitors with the door wide open and know that your dog isn't going to run out the door or jump all over people. Life skills are as important to me as obedience skills and Vickie helped me so much to make this happen. I am now on my third wire fox terrier.

My husband and I consider Vickie an outstanding teacher. We first tried agility in NY about 4 years ago when my husband got his BelgianTervuren. They both loved it. Then my husband was diagnosed with MS and he felt he would never be able to do agility again. Well ,Vickie is designing a program that allows them to do what they love. My golden was a puppy when I first tried her in agility. Well she is a very ungolden, golden and had issues. Since we started training with Vickie, she has start to blossom and loves going to "play". Vickie is a 5 star trainer who knows how to teach what she knows.
