FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process for working with a new customer is structured, transparent, and focused on clear communication from start to finish. It typically follows a few consistent steps so expectations are clear on both sides. Initial contact and consultation First, there is an initial conversation—either by phone, text, or email—to understand the scope of the project, timeline, and any specific concerns or goals the customer has. This step helps determine whether an in‑person visit is needed and ensures the project is a good fit. If the job is a match, an on‑site visit is scheduled to look at the space, discuss color options and finishes, and identify any repairs or prep work that may be required before painting. This is also a good opportunity for the customer to ask detailed questions and explain their priorities.

These qualifications ensure high-quality work, compliance with regulations, and safe practices on every job Core hands-on and vocational training Completed a multi-year apprenticeship under licensed painters, gaining practical experience in surface preparation, priming, multiple-coat applications, and specialty finishes like cabinets and trim Attended vocational courses covering color theory, paint types, tools, and equipment handling to build foundational skills Certifications and safety credentials Earned EPA Lead-Safe Certification for handling pre-1978 homes, ensuring safe lead dust management during renovation and painting. - How did you get started doing this type of work?
I’ve always had a strong appreciation for art and design, and over time that passion naturally evolved into painting. I began by taking on small projects for friends and family, which helped me build both experience and word-of-mouth referrals. As I gained confidence and developed a consistent style and process, I decided to formalize things by starting my own business. From there, I focused on maintaining high standards of quality and customer service, which helped the business grow steadily through repeat clients and recommendations.”
