Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I have a very keen eye and a highly developed sense of how to make a world class production. I am not someone who just bought a DSLR and a editing program and calls themselves a "Producer". Experience counts!! The creativity.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

For wedding videos; My base price is $1500 for 2 cameras and one operator for a 10 hour day. Finished product will be a 3-4 minute highlight reel with a 30 minute full feature movie with the entire wedding ceremony. Add $600 for each additional camera and operator and $600 per hour for each hour over 10 hours.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be prepared to answer questions. Well begun is half done. I do a lot of prep work and ask a lot of questions to make sure that I understand what the customer wants and most importantly, so that the customer understands what they want. This helps the customer think about their project and understand their own needs a little better. Video production for the inexperienced can be daunting and sometimes the need to understand that they cannot get a Porsche with a Volkswagen budget.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

There is no easy button. Productions can certainly be done much quicker than 15 years ago but with that comes other things that can slow the process down. Don't wait until your deadline is just around the corner to start your project.
