Knew exactly what was wrong with the TV. Fixed it in about 20 minutes. Much less expensive than hiring LG to fix their set.

Mike came over to install 8 cameras and mount my living room TV. He was very professional and courteous. He mounted the cameras in the perfect way to capture everything I wanted to see. When it came to my TV he mounted it very quickly and was able to hide all the wires. Mike worked great, I definitely recommend him if you're looking to have any cameras or TV's installed.

I remove virus, trojans and malware from the computer operating system. I diagnose equipment malfunctions and do complete repairs in a timely manner to restore equipment to manufacturer specifications and maintain up-time. I rebuild and or repaired printed circuit boards. I implement vast knowledge of electronic principles to resolve complex electrical problems and software problems.

I take the entire database of knowledge and experience I have been taught or gained and couple it with my high interest and love of electronics and all the high tech gadgets out there so much, so that I have locally been dubbed the "iFix it" guy around here. I don't just troubleshoot; I repair both cosmetic and software bug issues and assist in iTunes support issues for the iPhone. I can diagnose and repair most of all the gadgets in this ever-evolving society and help you do what you want them to do. I offer the following: * Xbox One (and 360) wireless media/remote media set up * Computer hardware installations/repairs * Computer software efficiency, downloads and uploads, repair *Computer accessories (i.e., printers and scanners) software installs and repairs * Surround sound systems installed wirelessly * Central housing electrical hubs all communication installed via WiFi * Internet/WiFi diagnostics for those who are uncomfortable setting up their own accounts or need further assistance than what the instructions provide in initial set-ups * Security tech support (installing systems and apps to allow continuous access footage to be accessible on any smart device * Smart TV set up assistance to communicate wirelessly, view clouds on your TV, and any other smart TV questions or requests * Mobile phone specialist, both smart phone (iPhone/Android) repairs The estimate and consultation is free. I will prepare a breakdown of the costs, services, and estimated time it will be done depending on if any parts need to be ordered before you commit to anything. There will be no hidden fees, and if more costs or parts are discovered to be needing mid-repair, you will be contacted first. For any services that require parts to be ordered, I require an initial deposit covering the costs of the parts, and the remainder of the fees will be due on pick-up date.

          Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What should you do with a broken LCD TV?

Nationally, the average price range for TV repair is $60-$90. LCD TV repairs are one of the most common TV repair requests. A liquid crystal display (LCD) TV uses the same technology as your smartphone and most computer screens. Images are created on an LCD screen by electric currents that pass or block light through liquid crystals that are encased between two polarized, glass-like sheets. LCD TVs can be very thin and are relatively affordable, making them one of the most prevalent types of TV on the market. If you have a broken LCD TV, it can probably be repaired. Common problems that can be repaired include a blank screen, sound issues, power problems and digital connection problems. Here is one example of LCD TV repair cost:

          • 55-inch Samsung LCD TV repair: $150, including parts and labor
            • The LCD was intermittently powering up and powering off. The main circuit board was removed and replaced.

Can you fix a flat screen TV?

Yes, you can usually fix a flat screen TV. Whether you have a plasma, LED, OLED, HDR, HD or even LCD, TV repair pros can repair your TV. Flat screen TVs are expensive, and when they stop working it can make your heart stop. But TV repair technicians have advanced along with TV technology and are equipped with the proper tools and training for major and minor repairs. If your flat screen is too massive to transport, most repair companies have pickup and drop-off service. For the most common problems, TV repair pricing might range between $175 and $200 on average. Here are examples of the most common problems:

          • Power problems: The TV won’t turn on or will not stay on once started.
          • Digital problems: All connections are in place but you’re not receiving any signal.
          • Sound problems: There is no sound, the volume doesn’t respond to attempts to raise or lower it, or the volume is inconsistent.
          • Screen problems: The TV is on but there is no picture.

How much does it cost to repair a TV?

If your TV isn’t working, don’t despair. TV repair professionals can handle almost any situation, no matter how new or outdated your TV’s technology. The national average TV repair cost is $50-$90, although prices can be higher based on the type of TV and the work required. Because most TVs today are much too large to transport in an ordinary car, many companies provide transportation services for an added fee. Here are some examples of average TV repair costs for specific problems and TV models:

          • 65-inch Sony DLP TV repair cost: $275, including parts and labor.
            • Removed old light engine and bulb and installed new.
          • 42-inch Sanyo Plasma TV repair cost: $200, including parts and labor.
            • Multiple circuit boards had gone bad in the TV. Technicians installed a new Y-SUS sustain buffer board and an X main board.
          • 55-inch Samsung LCD TV repair cost: $150, including parts and labor.
            • The LCD was intermittently powering up and powering off. Replacing the main circuit board solved the problem.
Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
