What a wonderful experience! The trainers were so good with giving us feedback and were very patient when my dog didn't feel like listening! After 6 weeks I have a good foundation to keep working with my dog and I feel confident that we will continue to improve! Rocky thanks you! We will be back!
David Ochoa is working with our German Shepherd four a couple weeks now. His expertise and knowledge is amazing. He has been helping us get our dog to listen and follow commands and is an outstanding trainer. I would recommend him to anyone!
Andy gives great insight into how a dog thinks, and how to deal with behavioral issues by getting on the dog's level. This approach makes a lot of sense... if you're dealing with a German speaker, you're not going to use French to communicate! Teaching owners dogspeak equips us to more effectively communicate to our dogs what is acceptable behavior and what isn't. The methods he's taught me are now going to allow me to keep working my dog in a really effective manner even after the course is over! Andy is an outstanding trainer!
Cynthia was awesome! Very knowledgable and I could tell she cared about our situation. We have a baby German Shepherd, a 2 year old pit/something else and a 9 year old puggle. The pit has been showing a degree of aggression which worried us and made us realize we need to train our dogs better to avoid future issues. In one session she has been a blessing.
I have a 2 1/2 year old German Shepherd. Despite working with trainers, following Fiesty Fido techniques and constant work with socializing, she continued to display leash aggression. After one session with Greg, she no longer exhibits this behavior. He truly understands how to help both your dog and you be aware of pack dynamics and leadership. I continue to be amazed at the difference in Athena and am grateful for the expertise that Greg brought to the session. 10 stars !
Brandi was so wonderful with my rather young and energetic pups that I was amazed! After just the very first visit there were immediate changes that still last. She is so talented! The pups immediately connected with her and she was a positive example for me too. I have had pups my entire life but German Shepherds are a different breed. I went ahead and scheduled several visits because she identified immediately what they needed and she was right on. I have now been able to get some sleep, got them to stop jumping on me and no more chewing. I am pleased and she is a delight to work with....I've already referred two of my friends to her.
I hired Christine to help with my sons two year old German Shepherd Odin. Odin is a great dog but had become very hard to walk due to his constant pulling and barking. Christine helped me learn new ways to train Odin and they worked right from the very beginning. Odin wanted to learn it was just me not knowing the right ways to get started. Chirstine was always right on time, and her enthusiasm and energy were contagious for both Odin and I. My son is now continuing to work with Christine and we look forward to bringing Odin to a group walk soon.
We are in the process of leaving our baby German Shepherd with Brittany. He will be with her for two weeks. She did an evaluation on our dog and totally handled it with professionalism, I was more nervous than she was since our dog has aggression problems. She kept him overnight one time to make sure he will be ok and what a surprise when my husband picked him up and he was just fine, no signs of aggression at all. I have tried so many trainers its not even funny, they were all scared of him. Brittany knows her thing!! Looking forward for the nect step and seen progress with our puppy!!
I hired Tracy to help me train my 8 month old Newfypoo. I have used different trainers in the past for other dogs of mine and can honestly say Tracy has been the most attentive and has gone above and beyond to help us reach our goals. I was extremely impressed with her facilities and resources she has to train her dogs. I highly recommend the week training that she offers boarding the dogs, after that week our puppy came home with obvious improvements! We are extremely happy with the service we received, both my newfy and I :)
My 2 year German shepard,Roxie, was almost out of control.Angel trained her for three weeks and was a different dog.I've had 5 German Shepard thru the years and Angel has been the trainer I've usad.
Jeanine is an awesome dog trainer. She trained my puppy and he has grown into an attentive and obedient dog. I swear she made him smarter too! Jeanine is extremely talented her method of training is compassionate. I would (and do) HIGHLY recommend her services.
The experience I had with Luis Safe from Safek9 was truly refreshing. His expertise in his field of work along with service he provided me and marly, my dog, with was more than I could have ever expected. While I searched for trainers to help me with marly, who seemed to be untrainable, none were able to succesfuly train marly. In my opinion Safek9 without a doubt is the best trainer in tampa.
I have a 4 year old Dutch Shepherd Roscoe who has having some jealously issues when my sister moved in temporarily. His breed is very protective and used primarily as law enforcement and military working dogs. I never had any aggression issues with him but he began to test the waters with my sister. I never attended any formal training with Roscoe because I honestly thought I would be wasting my time thinking that most trainers in my area would not be used to or comfortable with such a high drive working breed. Browsing though the local paper I came across Jesss picture on the cover with a Dutch Shepherd to my surprise! I was excited to see that a local dog trainer owned and trained her own Dutch. This breed is not for the weak hearted or anyone not willing to be the alpha. Having dominance issues with my sister and Jess being a female who was successful at training this breed I knew I found my solution. I scheduled a session with Jess and had my sister attend. Roscoe typically goes berserk when someone knocks at the door which he did as usual when Jess arrived. I let her in and she immediately distracted him and had him obeying commands within seconds of entering the house. I noticed her observing his behavior and interaction with everyone present. She came up with rules and activities to imply based on her observations to squash the dominance issues. We implemented them and all is well! I have since done tracking training with Jess and continue to work with him. She gave me the tools I needed and I was sad to see her leave Delaware, however she continues to check in and get updates on our progress. Even though we are hundreds of miles away I will always continue to use her as a resource. I highly recommend her to anyone. Get Set has such a broad skill set and training knowledge and I highly recommend them to anyone regardless if you are having problems, need obedience training or competition Shes got it all! A. Alison housesat our 2 dogs at our Sacramento home when we were in Toronto for a week in spring of 2015. Though she was admittedly a "cat person", she was willing to care for our 8 year old German Shepherd and a newly rescued small terrier mix. The shepherd was an easy companion, though the terrier proved to be a challenge for both her and for us. Alison was brave enough to face the challenge, and with frequent communications through email she took care of this wiley, active and determined little guy amazingly well. She is neat and tidy, and when we returned the house and garden looked perfect. We were able to spend time with her before and after our trip, and we found Alison charming, well-read and well-traveled. We wish her the best of luck in finding a place to settle and call home. So far I have had great experience with MDW K-9 training. Dave the owner and his beautiful family makes you and your animal friend feel as though as you know them for decades. My puppy has been with them now almost for a week but I can already see some major positive personality changes in her. I strongly recommend Dave's dog training services. I can't wait to bring my puppy home when she is done with Dave and his family.
My family and I are so impressed! Alfonzo bathed & groomed our 3 Maltese and German Shepherd Collie mix. They have never looked better! We highly recommend!!!
Diane was an amazing trainer with my dog Sam. The first day she taught him 3 new commands that he now follows every day! She is a wonderful trainer and i would recommend her to others!
Sarah goes above and beyond when working with dogs and owners. I adopted an obstinate but very affectionate Siberian Husky who had issues with resource guarding. Nakota began attending doggie day care with Sarah and soon became well socialized and much more obedient and responsive. She teaches owners to employ repetitive, consistent positive reinforcement because we often need as much training as the dogs do. I wholeheartedly recommend Tripp's Training for dogs (and people).
Rick Carde helped me develop my working German Shepherds to their full potential in personal protection and ring sport. He is a talented trainer. His individual attention to the specific needs of each dog made all the difference!
We took our 11 weeks old German Shephards to von Asgard and we were not disappointed. Linda and Nick were amazing, friendly and very knowledgeable. We are looking forward to continuing our training with Von Asgard. Thank you Linda and Nick and we will see you soon
A very dedicated breeder and trainer. She consistently produces superior dogs and is always available for questions and help. Even years after the sale. You can't go wrong buying a pup from her!
Brad is our trainer he is wonderful.. very firm and clear on what to correct. I had a 5 months old German Shepherd that was out of control jumping , biting, no respect. I NEEDED HELP YESTERDAY! After three visits with Brad and doing my home work. Samson is a pleasure to take on walks , around other dogs and guest. Everybody says wow it like unreal . We decided to send our year old German shepherd "Lad" to Mary for boarding and training - WOW best describes how well trained he was when we saw him 2 weeks later. He continues to progress on a daily basis. Thanks Mary!!!
My wife and I have been using Donna and her daughter Shelley since April of 2014, and are thrilled with them. Whether it's just for feeding, walking and playtime, or for overnights when we're out of town, they are reliable, punctual, and very affectionate with our big German Shepherd puppy. Sasha is always excited to see one of them, which is the best endorsement of all. We would highly recommend them to take care of your 4-legged babies.
We adopted a German Shepherd from a friend without knowing what background he had. Knowing that German Shepherds can be a handful and have a bad reputation for being "vicious" my wife and I sought out a trainer that could help us make him a well rounded pup. Another friend spoke highly of Gaby and immediately after meeting her, there was no question she was the right trainer for us. A few weeks later, Kaine started Level 1 at her property. Little did we know, she trained us more than Kaine...haha. There were immediate results and the training has made Kaine an obedient, confident, and happy young adult. He is now just over a year old and we get compliments all the time how well he responds to us and minds his manner out in public. After training, we still visit Gaby, Kaya, and Kaiser and she has always been just a text or call away with any questions and help us resolve any behavorial issues. Thank you Gaby for being amazing at what you do and sharing your passion with others.
Lane has a true understanding of dogs. I Met lane walking around downtown Dunedin when my GSD (German Shepherd dog) was about 4 months old(about a year ago). We spoke of a mutual love for the breed and how both of our grandparents were involved in K9 training (my grandfather was a k9 judge). Lane never pushed a service our a sales pitch on me he asked me some questions about my GSD. I let him know I was working with a trainer but at times my puppy seemed to rule us. He then told me he moved to the area and is training dogs here and if i ever needed help to call him (His expertise includes guard dogs, behaviors, advance training). During the past year we still were working with the original trainer who was very good as well. Something was missing though and we both felt that we taught my GSD everything we could but, he had a hurdle. You see my GSD would see other dogs and become over stimulated and hard to control and this started at about 7 months old ( He is a very intelligent and high drive GSD who's a sweetheart but stubborn.). He would jump on everybody not listen and tend to be just a brat. With dogs though he would bark aggressively and scare other people even though he just wanted to play he also seemed to be scared of them. So my trainer said let's take some time off and figure out something later. My wife and I talked about how he just needed to age and mellow but I felt this could not wait. I also mentioned how we met Lane and we should call him, but we were feeling a little discouraged and felt it may be better to wait. The next afternoon on the way to the beach I saw Lane walking two dogs and told my wife it's a sign let's just call him and try it. Lane gave us a free consultation that was over an hour. He then gave us his feedback and gave us pricing that was very competitive to any big box store but his is one on one. The difference with Lane though has been dramatic already, he truly has a passion and love for his career. After just a few weeks my GSD has improved with not only his old training but new training as well. My GSD is walking better on leash, reacting less and learning to be a companion and not pushing to be an alpha. Lanes knowledge of reading a dog has been honed since a young age and it shows. My GSD not only loves to go to training but now acts as if Lane is part of the family. My GSD is calmer and now looks for me to command him. We are not perfect by any means (its only been 4 weeks) but I truly believe with Carters k9s my GSD will be perfect and a dog that my grandfather would adore. Ask about the tree stump!
