Introduction: A Christian wedding is not Christian because of the words spoken, the symbols represented, or even the officiant. A Christian wedding is where God is both in the hearts and at the heart of this special time of becoming one. As a Born-Again Christian (since 1968) and involved in Christian ministry since 1975, I do not just know (in my head) about Christian practices or recite Bible verses that feel good or seem to fit the moment, but rather, that is my lifestyle; it is what I do on a daily basis. I am secure in who I am, so I do not need to try to convert you or browbeat you into a godly submission. I offer Christian weddings - as a Christian. How much of that Christianity in your wedding is your decision - NOT MINE! I am a fully licensed and the church ordained Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, NOT somebody who wears certain clothes and has paid some Internet or similar organization money for their being "ordained." Ordination is being selected by God and Godly people, NOT of your own choosing or desires. I am a Protestant Christian, meaning I do not "look to Rome" (the pope) for instructions or permission to do whatever. I DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION to perform Roman Catholic ceremonies or sacraments. And honestly, no one else does either (except a Roman Catholic priest). According to the guidelines set forth by the Roman Catholic Church, to truly be a "Catholic" wedding, the ceremony must take place "in" a Roman Catholic Church (building). Technically speaking, only a church ordained clergy can do the "Catholic" ceremony. Getting access to this is impossible without Divine intervention. I am one of a very small number of persons that have the church's endorsement and qualifications. I have graduated from Bible College and Seminary. I work full time in Christian ministry. To my knowledge, no one else can make those claims. Christian weddings are meaningful, memorable, and a blessing to all involved (and fun). I am fully prepared to assist you in every aspect of your special day Whether it is your vows, color schemes, what to wear, or where to have this memorable event, I am ready to help however you desire - or just show up and perform the ceremony. I am also the State of Florida qualified and professionally to assist in pre-marital counseling or other forms of marriage assistance - before or after your commitments have been made to one another. Plus, 30 years with my bride and over 45 years of Christian ministerial experience has equipped me with extraordinary and helpful ways. If you have the need for other ministerial services i. e., baby dedications, funerals, celebrations of life, and others, do not hesitate to contact me so I can serve as needed. I would like to ask if you are wanting me to be your officiant that you request the forms and fill them out as quickly as possible. This locks in your chosen day and time and avoids any possible confusion or problems if you wait too long - for you and me. I am here for you two. I live in Central Florida (Polk City - north of Lakeland) which gives me easy access to any part of the state. I will drive anywhere, but I do hope you will help in paying for the gasoline used. I have literally been to every part of Florida in the service of weddings. There is not a location too north or too south or too east or too west for me to go-to - for the big day (or counseling and rehearsal). If you can help pay these additional costs, that is a blessing - BUT do not let that get in the way of having what you know is right. God provides for His children - and that means all of us. I do Christian weddings. The amount of Christian influence is up to you (not me). It can be as involved with me wearing a clerical robe in the holiest cathedral sanctuaries there are or barefoot on the beach at sunset with the tide rolling in. Your donation of $200 for this service is all-inclusive (counseling, assistance, travel, rehearsal(s), whatever else there maybe). If the price is too high and it is creating a problem in deciding between me and someone else, I am happy to discuss this with you to see what we can agree to in making this workable for us all. We all have expenses in life, including the use of Thumbtack regardless if you select me or not. However, I want to do what I can for you to make it work the best way possible. Traveling to and from all over the state can be expensive, but I believe God can and does take care of those needs in whatever way He wants to do it. Whether it be someone giving something extra to cover those expenses and continue to bless me with something more or having multiple venues in the same area and within the timing with each other which reduces the overall expense of driving, my expenses are covered. I do not want to rob you of getting God's blessings, so tips are appreciated and very much welcome. Being in God's service is the most beautiful joy I know. Whether it is through the work as a pastor, a preacher/teacher, missionary overseas, or hospital chaplain, being part of His work is both an honor and immensely gratifying. Let me be one of the first to congratulate both of you. Regardless if I am the one honored to be part of your special day or not, May the Lord (continue) to bless and keep you May the Light of His countenance be upon you both And give you both His provision, presence, and peace Now, and always. Thank you for your prayerful and favorable consideration. His, and Sincerely Yours, Pastor Brian (Reverend/Pastor/Chaplain/Theologian/MDiv/Th.D. Candidate) Brian J. Jones Chosen For Him International Ministries I do pray to hear from you.

Wedding Officiant

Pastor Brian was absolutely amazing from start to finish. There are no amount of words that can describe how wonderful he is. We started out by completing the questionnaire and he promptly texted us that he was available and we discussed a time to speak. He called us right on time and we went over what we wanted during our wedding and more importantly he listened to our story. He’s so easy and fun to speak to. After speaking with him we knew he was definitely the one we wanted to marry us. On the day of the wedding he showed up early and performed the wedding exactly like we asked. My family loved him. He’s truly a man of God and we were so thankful for that. We had to also ask him to come and pray at a funeral and he did that as well. He is amazing and anyone wanting a great officiant look no further than Pastor Brian.

Pastor Brian was awesome! He was very responsive, put me at ease with all the anxiety I was having with the wedding, and made us feel extremely special. He was funny and charismatic. We couldn’t have chosen somebody better!

I wanted a Christian wedding which Pastor Brian was able to preform. He had several different sets of vows which we were able to pick from. Everyone thought the ceremony was absolutely beautiful!! I was extremely happy.

Wedding Officiant

Pastor Brian did a wonderful ceremony for me and my now husband. He responded quickly, accommodated us in such short notice (one day before wedding day) and he was very kind to drive almost 2 hours just to officiate our little ceremony in Daytona Beach. He prayed for both of us and I felt so much love and warmth. Anybody would be blessed to have Pastor Brian at any special ceremony. Thank you again Pastor, you have touched our lives and may you continue to do it to other people as well. More blessings to you!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I do everything I can to provide the best, professional, appropriate, and fun services of a wedding Officiant at a fair price for just about anywhere in the state of Florida. I do not want money for getting help to be an impairment to getting that help. Your donation is all-inclusive. There are no hidden fees for travel or rehearsals or whatever may come up. If you want to give me more than the $200 to cover additional costs (or just because you want to), I will not refuse the money BUT I will not expect anything more than what is agreed to. I can see how providing additional services like photography, sound, or travel fees for those places of significant distance from where I am based could be a way to make more money from this kind of work. My goal is not to make money; My goal is for you two to have the Christian wedding you have always wanted. I want this to be a service, not a job or gig. I do meet photographers and other professionals that sometimes provide me with their contact data. I cannot be responsible for their work, ethics, or prices, but if I have information that may benefit you, I am happy to pass along their information.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The number one step beyond making your selection from here on Thumbtack is to send me an email in order for me to send you back some forms for you both to fill out and return to me as soon as you can so that your chosen date and time are "locked-in". Upon receipt of your forms, we will find a time to chat over the phone, via Skype or get together to review the forms, get to know each other and prepare for your very special day. BUT!!! It all starts by getting and returning the forms as soon as possible!!! If someone else gets their forms in before you (even if we have talked), there may be little I can do but give them the day/date. With Thumbtack, we, the providers of the services pay Thumbtack immediately for the opportunity to have you as someone we serve. Even if we do not do the ceremony and yet had some kind of communication between the two of us, we, the vendors must pay Thumbtack money. It is unfortunate for everyone to pay out for this opportunity to serve and yet never actually get to do what we paid for. I recognize this is a very important decision and by all means want God's best for you both, but be aware of the critical nature of time in even the beginning stages. Also, if you thought I was the one for you, but something or someone changed your mind, I have no problem in you wanting to make that change. Do me the favor and let me know you have decided to use someone else as soon as you can so I can make way for other couples to have my services. Beyond all that, there is no "typical process" because no two situations are "typical". Personalized, individual and appropriate are the only standards consistently used. While the wedding ceremony is serious business, I am all for making it be the joyful occasion it is meant to be - but not some kind of "side-show" or comedic act. Those forms I get you to fill out, along with speaking with you both help me help you by providing exactly what you want (and do not want). I have to say it again - Your specific wedding day, date and time are "locked-in" only after you return these forms to me and I have acknowledged their receipt. I have sample vows and a very large list of ideas you could incorporate into your ceremony - without additional costs (except for materials if and as needed). In short, I want to serve you in any and every way possible.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been in Christian ministry (service) since 1975. Reverend/Pastor/Hospital & Hospice Chaplain/Biblical Counselor & Theologian/Overseas Missionary/Author. NOT an online ordination with a non-existent "church" or some organization or becoming an officiant because of a one-time good experience with family members and decided to make money from this kind of work. Married in 1990. Completing a ThD (Doctors of Biblical Theology & Counseling) 50+years experience as a human being. God and His people are the testimonies that speak clearly of doing in the right manner of this work and service. Any other external platitudes would not be necessary.
