- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The quoted rate is for the basic 1040 return. Additional forms like Schedule C or Schedule A etc. range between $15.00-$25.00 each, depending on the amount of data input required for each form. Single member LLCs (1040 & Schedule C) start at $150.00, multiple member LLCs, C Corp and S Corp(1065, 1120 or 1120S) start at $250.00. Volume discounts may be made available so referrals and family or groups are welcome.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For new customers A general outline of the extent of the service is described. As reqired by the IRS the customer must supply the required identification inclusive of social security card and state ID, a copy of which is kept on file. While not mandatory I recommend the costomer provide a copy of their last filed return. This allows me to review what has been done in the past. You would be surprised how many errors and outright fraudulent inclusions are made on tax returns unknown to the customer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an Enrolled Agent and as such had to complete an extensive course of study and three supervised examinations. the material is so extensive that the requirement is to pass all three exams within three years of passing the first. Prior to achieving enrollment status I had many years of working as a Registered Tax Return Preparer where I handled in excess of four hundred customers per year.
