Jeff was quick with his estimate and fair. We were able to get started within a few weeks of the estimate . We had our whole house tiled and James was amazing, very much a perfectionist. We also had our house soffits spray painted too and they turned out great! I would definitely recommend them!Dec 22, 2018Tropic Renovations's reply
Thank you! it was a pleasure working with you!
We had a terrible experience with this company from start to finish. Owner misrepresented the work he & crew were licensed to do and he also misrepresented the experience and skill level of his workers. County immediately "red ticketed" our project because they did demo work and unlicensed electrical work. Projects had to be done multiple times because they were either not up to code or were of poor workmanship. Crew often did not have necessary tools or materials to do the job. We spent nearly a thousand dollars buying supplies just so they could get some work done....supplies they were supposed to provide. Company has very high employee turnover. We had 7 different people work on tile at our house (9 if you count the first guy who we met, but quit before he started, and another guy who was sent to help that did not want to be there, said he was not a tile guy and broke tiles within the first 15 minutes so we asked him to stop). 3 different carpenters and finally owner sent his painter to finish all the detail carpentry work (he tried, but that was clearly not his line of work). We were told several times that he was all we were going to get. Owner refused to accept responsibility for his very poor hiring decisions and the inferior work done by many of his crew members. Interior doors and door trim had to be done over and over again because they would rub, or were not level or there were huge gaps, etc. Walls were built that were not level; kitchen cabinets were not level, etc. Owner just said we were impossible to please. Not true at all. We just wanted our doors to actually work, our cabinets to be straight, our tile to be somewhat level. We have already spent thousands of dollars fixing the work they did and we will incur several thousand more. It got so bad we had to insist that they not enter our house again.Jan 18, 2019
