Couldn't be happier with my first guitar lesson. He based the lesson on my skills and song wishes not some pre made curriculum! Really enjoyed it!

Aaron was great to work with and my kids loved him. I have two kids that trained under him (boy and girl) early teenagers and did well under him. My daughter is tough to keep focused, but Aaron was great with her keeping her on track. My son has really taken off playing with Aaron and still does today on his own. Unfortunately Aaron had moved from our area out of state, but the kids still use what he’s taught them to improve their skills. If you’re looking for guitar lessons for yourself or your children, Aaron is your guy. Good value, great with kids and worked around our schedule if we needed to. A+ Matthew M.

Rob does a great job making my bass lessons fun and engaging, and is great at matching the material to the individual student. I really like that he writes things down for you to reference later and answers questions well. He's definitely taken the intimidation out of learning an instrument. Overall, he's very professional and is a teacher I'd recommend to anyone.

Very laid back and easy going. He was on vacation, but had his phone forwarded to him and took the time to talk to me about my daughter. Ron took every question with patience and confidence and was more concerned with protecting my daughter's voice than the range of it. He even sent me an almost immediate confirmation and directions to the studio. He was extremely gracious in scheduling my daughter so I could get her started on her voice lessons. There are no qualified voice teachers/coaches in our area, so I was really pleased to find I only have to drive 61 miles to get to the studio. I also liked the professional layout of his website and the glimpse of history behind Ron and his company. It is direct and to the point and easy to find the information you are looking for. He offered sample recordings on his website of his wife, who was very easy to listen to, on pitch and didn't hurt our ears, in spite of the low quality Mp3 quality of the recordings. Ron also mentioned that his wife was a voice coach as well. We are looking forward to the voice lessons/coaching provided by their company.

About

The quality of my lessons to the money you pay is second-to-none. I am a college student, who loves playing guitar and learning about music. I bring that passion, and knowledge to my students in a way that they can APPLY IT. Time and time again , I see students quit their instruments because the teacher is basically lecturing the student on music theory, scales, genres, etc. Whenever I teach a topic I try to explain the students why it is important, and show the student what they can do with the information I am giving them. For example, teaching the student all of the major pentatonic scales in each key is great. However, if you do not learn how to phrase those scales together you can never write a solo. My hands on approach to teaching will leave your impressed with your knowledge about guitar and music in no time.

About

I'm a self-taught guitar player. I do local performances around the university area. My main focus is to express the fun of playing music with others and to allow my students to become involved in the music-making process as early as possible. Knowledge of music theory is not necessary as I will teach you the ideas behind chords, melody, harmony, and rhythm. The purpose of these lessons is so that the student may feel at ease learning songs as well as jamming out with their friends and other musicians. Genres of interest include (but are not limited to) pop, folk, reggae, country, and jazz.

When seeking a qualified guitar/bass teacher one needs to look no further than Cameron. I have taken lessons with Cameron for the past 4 years and see improvements in my playing everyday. Cameron takes his time with every student he meets and helps them focus on becoming diverse in many styles. I have recommended Cameron to friends (now fulfilled students) and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Whether youve just started or have been playing for years, Cameron is just the guy to take you to the next level.

Hard question to answer. As far as I'm aware, I only consider the comfortability of the student at hand. Based on how they react, if they've had previous lessons, I can assess the situation, repair and move on to better things: playing the guitar/instrument.

About

A lot of music teachers only focus on technique and theory. And a lot of teachers just show people how to play songs. We show individuals how to do both. Having fun playing songs and knowing technique and theory are equally important, because if you just learn songs, you'll only know how to do that and not really know how to play an instrument. While technique and theory are important, it can be boring and frustrating to focus primarily on that. At New Tampa Music Lessons, we balance musicianship and fun by making sure that with each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept, but always end with something fun such as your favorite riff or song. We use a variety of method books to accomplish this and encourage students to bring CDs or their iPod to their lesson to learn their favorite tunes.
