I had an unruly chihuahua. David changed her behavior in the first 10 minutes! We learned all the things we were doing wrong as owners. Now my 2 chi's and my malinois get along great! Thanks David!

We really enjoyed David teaching us how to interact with our dog (Milo) so that we could continue our training long term. He explained how our interactions are perceived by Milo - and that has been a revelation! Milo has been doing super great - learning to play and not run off! He also taught us ways to help get Milo better socialized. David gave us the tools to succeed and now we are rest assured that Milo can remain part of our family.

Brandi, Thank you. It's always great to hear someone is working the program and doing so well. It was so nice to work with you and Andrew and to meet Sonya. Give Milo a hug for me.

    About this pro

I do not make false promises. My techniques work. We concentrate on "talking" to your dog in his own language. I have never met or talked to any other trainer/handler that teaches the groundwork that I teach. This is the "secret" that sets the stage for all future interaction with your dog. A dog that is well-mannered and obedient is a dog whose world can grow to the extent his guardian/owner is willing. Too many dogs are left at home because of their behavior, some tethered outside, banished from their pack. Some, lose their lives, unadoptable and dangerous, merely doing their best at what they mistakenly feel they should. My greatest satisfaction is to be told I am no longer needed because a human and their dog have reached a meeting of the mind.

      Q & A

      • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will come to your home to meet with you and anyone who directly handles your dog. We will share much information. During this time I will do an assessment and see how your dog lives with you. I will assess your relationship and interaction. If your dog is having issues we very likely will make some human changes. Together we will formulate a plan and a strategy to get your dog on the route to being your well-behaved companion. We will see your dog begin to learn very quickly. You will learn and practice a few very important techniques, many human behaviors, and how to communicate with your dog.
      • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Please see abestfriend.org In addition to the information on my simple website my experience has been to work with tiny Yorkies and Chihuahuas to massive Rottweilers and Presa Canarios.
      • How did you get started doing this type of work?
Someone once pointed out to me that dogs seemed to behave differently in my presence.
