Introduction: ** Working ONLINE primarily. May be able to do in-person with St. Petersburg, FL locals. ** In life, we all run into walls. Chronic pain or health issues. Debilitating self-criticism or self-doubt. Cycles of stress, anxiety and depression. Unfulfilling relationships. Unhealthy patterns when dealing with pain, grief or uncertainty. For many of us, we come to believe that we just have to live with these walls. Learn how to manage them and keep pushing. I want to help you carve out a different path: one where you feel empowered to face the walls, discover the roots of why they are there, and then start to implement new body, brain and life patterns that are truly aligned for you. I work with the FULL YOU in this exploration: BODY - helping you find physical practices that move you towards freedom in your body and counter the tendencies that you're wanting to soften. BRAIN - supporting you in reprogramming learned mental stories that are holding you back, as we cultivate space, introspection, insight and purpose. LIFE - through guided self-reflections and life redesign practices, we work together on identifying the small adjustments you can start making in your day-to-day that will add up to the life experience you are yearning for. My motivation to do this work is very personal. My background is in public health and human services. Supporting others towards healing and self-sufficiency has always been central for me. My own journey of self-understanding and transformation (addressing chronic gut issues, low mind-body integration, stress and anxiety, non-existent work-life balance, imposter syndrome, people pleasing, lack of self-compassion, difficulty with my own voice, etc.) has directed my entry into brain/body/life coaching. Sessions are typically: $70/hour - virtual session ($650 for ten sessions) $85/hour (average) - in-person session (ten-session package deals available) The coaching plan is personalized to each individual. I commonly work with clients once or twice per week, once every two weeks or once per month. ** I want to make sure we're the right fit. I am a woman in my 60s. Overall in good health,but have been experiencing back pain,hip discomfort and neck/shoulder discomfort for 15 years. I have scoliosis and osteoporosis. My philosopy has always been to not complain and just deal with it. In my first session Ligia gave me information about what was going on in my body and with my pain that I could actually understand. She explained why certain movements are helpful and others aren’t.We talked about my daily power-walking and how it might be impacting my pain. I was dreading any meditation talk.but just naturally through the session she called attention to certain habits-I have to get it just right,I overdo-and how those relate to tension and pain. After the first session,I am looking forward to more.

Meditation Instruction

Contacted Ligia with a short notice for a group event coming up in just a few days and she was able to accommodate without any issues. Despite being a long time yoga practitioner, I always benefit from ongoing learning. Yoga can support all ages (I am in my 70's), physical conditions, and paths. BUT, I have to admit I was not expecting how Ligia weaves yoga and life together in a manner so easy to understand. Ligia's Yogi Talks and workshops, as well as her online classes, have helped me realize new ways my physical practice and yoga concepts connect with my everyday life during this time of extremely radical changes. In Yogi Talks, to guide our yoga exploration, Ligia uses discussion and simple exercises. She thoughtfully helps us brings our individual yoga journeys together to explore the relationships among each of our journeys. Hesitant about the transition to online asana classes, I found it smooth with Ligia's easy to follow online classes. She addresses the needs of beginners AND experienced practitioners, thoroughly covering each posture meeting each experience level's needs. Her teaching style is easy going while conveying a deep understanding of authentic yoga including meditation practices. Ligia helps me to see new possibilities for joining my mat experience to real life -- a daily blessing! Thank you, Ligia!

Private Yoga Instruction

If you are looking to have an amazing experience, Ligia is the way to go. I am new to Yoga and was really hesitant due to my lack of flexibility and nimbleness. I had a friend who kept bothering me to try it and I am glad that I did. I am a Director at a non profit and although I absolutely love my job, my stress tends to show up in my body. Ligia helped work through my tense areas. Very soothing voice and clear instructions that were easy to do! Not what I thought at all!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    One-hour virtual coaching session: $70 Ten virtual sessions: $650 ($50 savings!) One-hour in-person coaching session: $85 (average) I offer a free 15-minute consultation to all potential clients to discuss your needs, my services and answer any initial questions you might have. Each client is different. The coaching plan adapts to your particular needs and realities. Some clients meet with me twice per week, others once per week, others once per month. We will work together on creating a coaching plan that is manageable, but still keeps you on track with your intentions and goals.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Because there is no one-size fits-all formula for wellness, the first step is clearly identifying the stuff that needs attention in your life right now - back pain; recovering from an injury; chronic stress or anxiety; facing a big change like retirement, childbirth or divorce; or trying to get better sleep are just some examples. We set ourselves up for success when our coaching plan is targeted and when we have the confidence to start with the big stuff first. From there, we start putting together a portfolio of most potent therapeutic practices for you. Depending on the issues that we're focusing on, there may be a combination of physical/movement practices, mindfulness exercises, attention training exercises, breathing techniques, mantra training, self-discovery exercises, and other practical tools for creating new, healthier brain pathways. During our sessions, we unpack these practices and exercises in detail - how they can be beneficial and what they look like in practice. We work through the roadblocks, they ways in which our brain tends to resist new ways of perceiving and responding. Together, we assess progress and we keep developing the coaching plan to meet your changing needs.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychobiology. My Master's degree is in Public Health. I am also an RYT 500 Yoga Alliance Registered Instructor.
