Introduction: I am not as active as I use to be on Thumbtack because I have built of my clientele over the past 5 years and have little turnover. My clients say it's my professionalism, reliability and personality that helps them achieve their goals. I focus on safety, form and fitness progressions for results. I do all of this at a pace that is right for each client individually. The people! It's easy to love your job when you are able to work with people in a way that improves their lives and the quality of it. Specifically I love it when my clients share stories of new "life" accomplishments as a result of feeling better about themselves. I engaged Josh for the period of 5.5 weeks that I spent in the area, late January through February. My objective was to start eating better to lose a few pounds and maintain a healthy weight while kick-starting a fitness routine that I could maintain. I wasn't looking to bulk up; simply to be fit and a bit more trim. Josh was an excellent coach for both objectives. He provided a detailed meal plan and worked with me to focus on a number of routines that targeted my fitness goals. Though I suspect he'd work well with anyone, I can highly recommend him for anyone with goals similar to mine.

Joh Haas is the ultimate personal fitness coach! I sought someone who could take my existing training regiment to the next level. Someone who could answer my questions about exercise and nutrition. Couldn't have found a better coach! Already sharing my experience with others. I sought a personal trainer who could take my training to the next level, educate me on how to amend my diet, answering my questions about physical activities and nutrition so I could build on what I had started more than a year ago. I appreciate Josh's personal approach to my wellbeing, he clearly cares about me and my health, the nutritional advise allows me to plan better meals and snacks throughout my day, the exercise advise allows me to shake up my routine and build on it. But he offers more than answers to questions. Josh offers personal encouragement, and suggestions and tips so I can make better decisions, improving my mind and body. Josh is an excellent fitness coach! Since I travel significantly on business I was looking for someone who could coach not only while at home in Sarasota, but also while on the road. Josh has an excellent ability to frame exercise so that I can still obtain a solid workout even if the hotel fitness center isn't the best. Also, when in Sarasota, working out with Josh at the park is a nice option to joining the gym. Josh focuses on high-intensity training which I like -- additionally, Josh knows his nutrition so the ability to include exercise with healthy eating tips is always an interesting discussion. Finally, Josh makes me feel like I'm his only client -- he will send an SMS the day after a hard workout to see how I'm doing. And while traveling he will check-in to see if I have any questions regarding the recommended routine. I've really enjoyed working with Josh as his business professionalism is excellent and his friendly personality along with his enthusiasm regarding fitness is contagious. Thanks to Josh for getting me back into a healthy fitness routine!

We needed to get back to basics not just excercise but food planning, shopping and preperation. Josh has all the tools and knowledge neccessary to get us all back on track not easy with me working out of town and my family going in different directions at home as well. Now we post each step and goal and prepare in advance for our crazy lifstyle so we remember that without our health and wellbeing we have nothing. Thanks Josh

I was talking to a good friend about how I've never had much success getting in physical shape. He suggested I try a personal trainer. So I googled personal trainers in my area and found Thumbtack. They referred me to nearby personal trainers in their network. Josh followed up with me nearly immediately (on a Saturday) which impressed me. When we met for the initial consultation, I was very impressed with Josh's background, communication/listening skills, and attention to detail. So I hired him for a month. He trains me at my home, by the way. I've been working with Josh for about a month now and am amazed at what he has helped me to do physically that I've never been able to do before. I plan to continue working with Josh past the initial month. I'm glad I took my friends advice and took a chance on something new. I'm equally glad to have found someone with Josh's skills and ability to read my feedback real time and adjust my workouts accordingly. I've observed Josh to be down to earth, funny, and easy going which really helps me push harder in my workouts. If you are not sure who to pick, I recommend giving Josh a try.     Yes, as a certified fitness instructor through ACE, I am required to complete and report a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education every two years in order to maintain my certification. I utilize many resources such as workshops, seminars, medical journals, webinars and online study guides.
