Introduction: Jigsaw Home Inspections, Inc., is Florida State Licensed #HI7846. We are members of the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating. We have insurance and are Bonded. We have seen the changes in Sarasota and Manatee Counties from living and working here for over 48 years. Jigsaw Home Inspections, Inc., does travel to Manatee, Desoto, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Charlotte, Lee, Sarasota, Collier and other counties to serve our customers. Jigsaw Home Inspections, Inc., services are about "you" the customer and to provide you with the most comprehensive and objective evaluation of the home your are interested in. Jigsaw Home Inspections, Inc., works for our client. Our inspections are very thorough and include an internal inspection, around the outside perimeter as well as a structural and systems inspection. We can also provide you with 4-Point & Wind Mitigation Inspections. Jigsaw Home Inspections, Inc., also is one of the only companies in Florida that has robotic vehicle that can inspect in tight space under crawlspace homes and mobile homes where a normal person can’t fit. We don’t like to say “No” to our customers we cannot inspect because I cannot get under the residence your buying. Our home inspectors strive to provide you with the services you deserve. We inspect as though we were looking for ourselves. Kurt, our senior inspector, is Florida licensed and ITC (Infrared Training Center-FLIR) Certified Building Science Thermography Inspector; he holds a "Level 2" certification. There is currently no governing body for thermography; ITC follows the The Society for NonDestructive Testing (ASNT) recommeded practice. Make sure your thermographic technician is qualified with hands-on experience. Carolyn, has been mentored by and assisting Kurt for over 3 years. Her formal training was completed through American Home Inspectors Training and licensed through the State of Florida. Keeping our Client(s) informed! Once the inspection is complete, we enjoy taking the time to go over any concerns found and answer any questions that you may have. We then provide an unbiased, accurate and thorough home inspection report. We also enjoy keeping up to date with training and technological advancements.

This is the first home inspection i have had done and i cold not be happier with Kurt an Carolyn of Jigsaw home inspections. They arrived 15 minutes early of their scheduled time and were extremely thorough. Their report was emailed to me within 24 hours and was very professionally done, with pictures and detailed explanations of the home we were buying. I talked to Kurt twice over the phone after the inspection was sent to me and he answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend them to anyone buying a home.

JHI, Kurt and Carolyn Arbogast inspected a house I was going to buy. They were able to do it the next day which helped me because I had a short time to get it done. They were early, already working when we ( my 2 grown sons and I), got there. It's the most thorough inspection I've ever had. The property had so much wrong with it the report was over 50 pages! We knew the house needed work, and were hoping to use the report to negotiate a better price, but decided to back out of the purchase because of the volume of issues with the house. They took the time to explain things while we were there, actually showing my sons what they were finding. I would recommend them to friends and family, and will use them again when we find another property. I can't think of any way they can improve, I'm very pleased.

Thorough, discussed items with me as they checked them out. I was comfortable with them. The report they sent me used too much template language and was too general and repetitive in too many places; it was not as clear as the discussions. I would encourage them to learn how to manage their report template better so that it is more user friendly.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our fees for a home inspection are based on the square footage of the home. We also provide other inspection related services and charge accordingly. Please give us a call to discuss our fees and services. “Please remember cheapest is not always the best”. We are the best value for your dollar even though we may be a little more.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We go over our inspection services in detail. We ask the customer if they have any questions and or special concerns. Then we answer all questions and address concerns. So the customers have all the information needed to make the right decision in judging our services.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We purchased houses and condominiums that we rehabbed and resold. Trained at home inspection through American Home Inspections Training. We also attend continuing education and conferences to further our knowledge.
