Hired on Thumbtack

Although Mr. Osborne fixed my problem within 1 hour of the second day (he spent 1 1/2 hours the previous day), I feel like he completely overcharged me. On the 1st day, he explained that he would need to go underneath my home in the crawl space, cut metal, etc., and the fee would be $200. Even though he didn't have to do this extra work, he still charged the $200. He is a contractor, not a plumber. I am female and over the age of 60, so beware!
AKO Construction's reply
I am not exactly sure how to respond to this. Job was quoted at $200 minimum and I charged her $200. The second day there were two of us, we completed the job and fixed the leak. I am a state certified professional General Contractor and Home Inspector with over 50 years of experience. I am sorry you feel overcharged but I covered the cost of materials and had to pay an employee and carry state required insurances. If you were unhappy with the quoted price you should've hired someone else. I shouldn't be punished for finishing a job on budget and on time.
