Introduction: I own a food truck and also do catering. Hispanic (Puerto Rican) food is my specialty, but I can do most about anything! Not all hot dogs are created equal. Island Pound Hounds prides itself on only using the highest-quality meat from the finest, most reputable meat suppliers in the Big Bend area. We support local food sustainability; see below. All of our hot dogs are made exclusively from 100% USDA domestic beef. We don't use cattle from outside our borders. Nor do we allow fillers, artificial colors or artificial flavorings in any of our products. Our sausages are made from pork, chicken or turkey. We pride ourselves in creating or recreating the most natural and tastiest pure breeds (100% pure beef hot dogs), mutts/mongrels (Polish Kielbasa, Italian sausages, German brats) kennel buddies (sides), kibble/bits (toppings) and treats (desserts) for our select "haute dawg" lovers -- you! My approach is to seek out locally produced products from local vendors whenever possible. I am proud to serve the freshest sausages from local grass-fed beef, pork, lamb and goat from various farms located in nearby Monticello. Island Pound Hounds has a wide menu that includes bratwursts, kielbasas, and sweet Italian sausages.
