Introduction: Hello! Thank you for looking at my bio!
I have been playing guitar and performing for over 11 years now, and teaching for over 6 years. I have developed a method of learning guitar that is fun, easy, and will work for you! I have an infinite knowledge about technique, tone, and music theory to teach, however my mission is to get you to the point where you are able to write your own music!
I have taught beginners, intermediate and even advanced students in the past.
I have also taught many classes over the years.
My lessons consist of learning proper acoustic and electric techniques along with ear training. Also, a portion of the lesson will be devoted to learning songs of the students choice.
**these lessons are purely supposed to be fun and enjoyable! I read music and study theory, but these topics will be reserved for more advanced students that choose to study these topics.
Breakdown of lesson:
5-10 minutes of listening to music (that we both choose in order to discuss)
10 minutes of warm up exercises
20 minutes of technique study (proper chords, scales, foundations)
10 minutes of ear training (basic theory: why a chord is major/minor, etc)
Remainder (30min) devoted to working on a song from this week or the previous week.
(For more advanced students, gear talk will be included. I have studied all of the variables to a good sound for years and love sharing my knowledge)
