Castillo is the managing attorney at Castillo Law, and oversees all current cases and firm administration. Mr. Castillo earned his Juris Doctor from Florida A&M College of Law with cum laude honors, and was ranked high in his class. While in law school, he served as the president of the American Association for Justice. He also served as Marshall for the school's Phi Alpha Delta chapter, and as a governor to the school's Hispanic American Law Student Association. In his first year as a law student, he was elected by his class to serve on the board of governors for the Law Student Division of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division, where he worked to help organize charitable events and created learning opportunities for law students. While in law school, Mr. Castillo clerked for Florida's Ninth Judicial Circuit Court, where he aided the court in researching and drafting orders and rulings. Additionally, while in law school, he interned at the Office of Statewide Prosecution for the Attorney General, where he assisted in the prosecution of a multitude of cases, including white collar crimes such as securities fraud. Mr. Castillo also interned at a private law firm that practiced in family law and immigration cases. Mr. Castillo further was selected to be one of the few law student members of the First Central Florida American Inn of Court, where he helped research and present legal ethical issues to the local legal community. Prior to law school, Mr. Castillo was a paralegal at a private law firm in Jacksonville, where he assisted in the defense capital criminal cases at the pre-trial, trial, and appellate level, aiding in the drafting of appeals to both the Florida Supreme Court and the Federal 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Additionally, previous to attending law school, Mr. Castillo became a trained professional private investigator, specializing in skip tracing. He also served as the Chief Information Officer to the private investigative and security company for which he worked, and oversaw the procurement of private security contracts with private companies as well as local governments and public institutions. Mr. Castillo graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, with a dual minor in Philosophy and Psychology, and was a Dean's List student. While attending the University of North Florida, Mr. Castillo played for the university's rugby team.
