I was very pleased with the results of our carpets being cleaned. The technician was very knowledgeable on the care or carpets and how to get stains out. He worked very quickly and efficiently and it turned out great. I wish I had hired Rugrats Cleaning to do our new house we just moved into. I will definitely call them next time we need our carpets cleaned and recommend them to friends. Thanks!!!!!

Johnny and his team did an amazing job for a very affordable price. We hired him for a carpet install on the stairs and upstairs, and laminate install downstairs. The quality of work was flawless, the professionalism was great, and the price was very reasonable. More than that, they went above and beyond in one aspect - After removing the carpet downstairs, the old baseboard was too high and needed to be taken out and lowered, but the house was already painted so we would have had to repaint an inch around the entire house inside if we lowered the baseboard by an inch. Johnny just replaced it with larger, higher quality baseboard at almost no cost. Very happy with him and his team, looking forward to hiring you for all our future flips!

I don't typically write reviews but I had to after Ray was done. Ray was professional, thorough, and the carpet looked great after he completed. In fact, there were some stains in the carpet that were there before I moved in and those were removed as well. Excellent work at a good price. I doubt you will find another company to do this quality of work. Book him while you still can.

Responsive with quote, on-time, and fantastic job on two move-in rental cleans that needed lots of work. Stains and grime I thought would be impossible to remove were taken care of; both houses look ready to live in. Good attitude and great job. We'll use them again.

OMG! is all i can say i had red stains in my carpet that i would not come out. We hired another local company that charged us 59 dollars for 2 rooms they came out and said they could do this and that and ended up paying 120 dollars and they could not even remove the stains. Stain Bangers gave us one price and that WAS IT, and did the job the others could not do. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Magic Steamers did an excellent job cleaning my carpets. Even though there was a mix up as to the time they would arrive onsite to perform stated cleaning, they were very accomdating. They explained that they would try thier best to get certains stains out of carpet (paint, nail polish, glue) but said that more than likely they won't come out. Ovwrall we are very, very satisfied with thier work and for the price, I couldn't get a better deal. Compared to the last company we hired to clean our carpets, Magic Steamers was outstanding. They used a vehicle based machine that shot very hot water into the carpet to pull out all the dirt and grime that had accumulated over the years. Carpets looked totally different from before the cleaning. We would definitely hire them again.

I hired Twin Brothers to install a wood plank porcelain tile over cement floor. After removing the carpet & pad, we found the cement floor was extremely uneven. The gentleman leveled the floor with mud and made our new wood look floors exciting! Beautifully done. Thank you so much!

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How often should carpets be steam cleaned?

Dirty carpets can be unhealthy for the people living in the home, particularly those who have allergies, so it’s important to have them cleaned regularly; simply vacuuming once or twice a week isn’t enough. Carpet cleaning should be done by a professional carpet cleaning service at least once a year to remove grime and help extend the life of your carpet. Most carpet manufacturers recommend professional steam cleaning, which penetrates deep into the carpet fibers and lifts out both dirt and the pollutants that get tracked inside. Steam cleaning also removes most of the moisture, so carpets dry quickly enough for homeowners to resume using them the same day. Between professional carpet cleanings, your carpet may need an emergency spot cleaning. Pet accidents, food or drink spills, and more can often be effectively cleaned with some water and a drop of white vinegar, although many cleaners will also make house calls for smaller spills and hard-to-clean spots like wine or grease stains.

Who cleans area rugs?

Like your carpets, area rugs should ideally be cleaned at least once a year to remove dust and dirt and help them last longer. In general, carpet cleaning professionals also clean area rugs. Some rug cleaners bring their cleaning equipment to your home, while others remove your area rugs and clean them at their facilities. Either way, the rug should be cleaned with the solution most appropriate to its specific fabric and construction. It should also be completely dry before you return it to the floor.

How much is the cheapest carpet?

If you’re looking to reduce carpet installation costs, there are several ways to save. Start by considering your carpeting needs. Manufactured materials such as polyester and nylon will be cheaper than natural fibers such as wool. From big box retailers, starting prices for olefin-based carpet are approximately 50 cents per square foot — making the cost under $5 per square yard. Indoor carpets made with olefin fibers are typically the least expensive on the market. Keep in mind that olefin fibers are not as soft on bare feet as other fibers, so are often used in areas like basements, playrooms or indoor patios. Nylon and polyester are good options to reduce carpet installation costs while still creating a cozy feel. The face weight, fiber construction and density of a carpet all affect the cost per square foot. The cheapest nylon or polyester carpets can start at just under $2 per square foot, making them about $18 per square yard. Lower-cost carpet tends to wear out more quickly and show stains more easily, so avoid light colors and vacuum regularly to keep the fibers clear of dirt that might age it too quickly.

How much does it cost to install carpet?

If you’re ready to bring new life into your house with a makeover from the ground up, you’re ready to learn more about carpet installation costs. Installation costs vary greatly, depending on a number of factors such as the type of carpet, the number of square yards, any necessary repair work, the number of stairs you have, and where you live. Due to these variables, the national average cost of carpet installation ranges between $200 and $4,500.

To start planning for your new carpet, measure roughly how many square yards of carpet you’ll need. Research the main carpet styles and materials you like to get a feel for what they cost. Nylon carpets are typically the least expensive, and wool is one of the higher-end carpets. Prices per square foot might range from under $2 to over $10, depending on materials. Count the number of stairs you want carpeted; each one might average between $3 and $10 (or more for box steps). Carpet removal can be an added cost as well, averaging $1-$4 per square yard, depending on the company and regional disposal costs.

How much does it cost to clean a rug?

Area rugs are typically found in high-traffic areas of the home, like hallways and entryways, so they collect more dirt and stains than simple vacuuming can handle. Similar to carpet cleaning, professionals can come to your home to deep-clean your area rugs. The national average cost for rug cleaning ranges from $80 to $120, but may be higher or lower depending on the rug’s size and fiber type. Rug cleaners generally charge by the square foot; for example, a standard 8-foot by 10-foot rug costs an average of $100 to clean. Natural fiber rugs, such as wool or silk, are usually more expensive to have cleaned than synthetic rugs. A carpeting cleaning company may charge on average $1.50 per square foot to clean a synthetic rug, $2 per square foot for a wool rug, and $3 per square foot for a silk rug. Some delicate rugs need to be washed by hand, which increases the price. Carpet cleaning companies often offer additional services, such as removing odors or applying moth deterrent, which can add 20 cents to 25 cents per square foot.
