We hired Ali to work with our daughter in her Geometry and Algebra 2 math courses last year. She is a life saver. My daughter's grades have improved for sure. I cant say enough great things about her. She is clearly very knowledgable and we will continue to use her in the future!

I started my fourth grader with his tutor because he was failing everything after moving to a new school. The next report card he had 1 B and the rest C's. Heather found a great tutor for him,Pam, that developed a wonderful relationship with him. We will be starting again in the fall when school starts. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Anna is hands down the best chemistry tutor I've worked with. She tutored me through general chemistry and organic chemistry. When I take biochemistry next, Anna will still be my tutor. Anna is able to take difficult concepts and break them down in ways that are more understandable. She has a great way of taking these concepts and using them in practical applications for problem solving. She never lost her patience with me even when I struggled with certain topics. I consistently score higher on tests than many of my peers and I believe that my study sessions with Anna directly contributed to those scores.

Dave helped tutor me in college algebra when I was struggling to remember some of the concepts I learned in high school. He was super friendly, patient, and easy to talk to. He never once made me feel dumb when I didn't understand something and always walked me through the topics at a pace I was comfortable with. The best part was he taught me new ways of learning the subject that really clicked for me unlike the way my professors taught me. I would definitely get help from Dave again in any other subject I'm struggling in.

I am most concerned about where the student is coming from. It is vital to speak on equal footing with them; I have seen, from both sides, the effects of a patronizing attitude upon students. We are all human and must admit to errors.

About

At iLearn, our goal is to bring back a love for learning by making education a personal experience. We tutor by first learning who our students are, then incorporate their likes and interests into tutoring plans that will turn each school subject into their favorite school subject. Personally, I also work as a professional photographer and videographer with the goal of making full fledged wildlife documentaries. Integrative Biology is my passion and it has led me to explore many scientific topics that I now strive to combine with art to deliver to the public. I have a particular interest in Quantum theory and Relativity as a hobby as well. Science, for me, is a fun way of understanding the world around us and being able to interact with it in the best way possible. I am here to share that perspective with you and look forward to assisting you in your academic journey.

About

I have masters in public health and graduated from University of South Florida. I am also a chemistry-related graduate from FSU.

About

I am a graduate student who has four years of teaching experience. I soon and will be able to tutor students in the Tampa area starting July 8th. I am certified to teach middle and high school math, and I have also tutored several students in SAT and ACT prep. I have a passion for science and literature and love to get book suggestions from family and friends. For my undergraduate degree, I attended New College of Florida and studied anthropology/archaeology. I loved working with adolescents, so after graduating I worked as a middle school math teacher. I know how hard it is to make sure every student gets the individual attention they deserve, so as a tutor it is my goal to give my students the focused help they need to be successful. I have a strong math background. In addition to being certified to teach math grades 6-12, I scored a 760 out of 800 on the math section of the SAT and a 163 out of 170 on the GRE quantitative reasoning section. The most important part of teaching math, however, is being able to explain the basic connections between new material and what the student already knows. That is a skill I developed as a math teacher and use now as a tutor.
