Introduction: Home Staging is not a regulated profession. A person can pay $1,500 for a two-day training program and call herself a "certified" stager. I completed not one, but three comprehensive courses (one took six months!) before I was satisfied I had enough training. Plus, I've been doing it since my business launched in 2009! Staging Credentials: Accredited Staging Professional® (ASP®), stagedhomes.com (Barb Schwarz, the creator of Home Staging), Certified Accredited Home Stager (CAHS), The Haverhill Institute of Staging & Design, Staging Diva® Home Staging Business Training Program (Debra Gould, internationally known) The ASP® course is linked to the National Association of Realtors (NAR) to provide education on home staging. People don't realize the status that color has in their home. When they see the colors they love their eyes light up and they fall in love with their home all over again! It's life changing!

Ann came before we painted the living room and mas ter BR. I had decided on paint for LR & hubby had his idea for master. Those were the only 2 rooms we were planning on painting. After spending about 45 minutes with Ann & listening to her reasons for color choices & what she thought would work better, we ended up paintinting not only the LR & MBR but also the DR & kitchen, & Master Bath. She was a great help and after the painting was complete, I could see how everything flowed. The bedroom was a darker shade of the color (grey) that was used in the LR, DR, kitchen. The ceilings and M bath were a marshmallow white. The DR & kitchen had been a fern green which I thought I loved, but the grey pulled the white cabinetry and grey countertops together. Ann was pleasant, professional & yet when she left I felt like I had made a new friend. I would use her again if the need arose and would highly recommend her.

Ann is simply awesome at what she does. I was putting my townhouse up for sale and needed to get some advise on layout, staging, and purchasing. She took her time to get a feel for my house and style. She recommended some paint color changes that were awesome. She purchased some items for my house that look great and match my style. I received an above asking price 10 days after hitting the market. My house is selling for $7K more than another townhouse in my complex that sold 2 months earlier. Closing in a few days!!!

I stay current on all the latest colors and trends featured in trade magazines. If a client tells me she saw a certain color she likes, I will probably have it with me!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Mr. Taylor recently decided to sell his South Tampa townhome and he was motivated to sell. He knew his home was a tired looking bachelor pad (self-described). After a two-hour staging consult, he agreed to paint the powder room, the master bedroom and master bath and he gave me $1,000 to shop. Two weeks later when we staged, he couldn't believe the transformation! Update: One week on the market, one open house and SOLD substantially over asking price! (Some photos are up on Thumbtack but they are mine and not shot professionally with a wide-angle lens. Also, we had to stage before the art piece I ordered to hang over the couch arrived.)
