Introduction: The reason my work stands out from that of others is simple, we meet the individual needs of each client. We assess, identify the strengths, discover the weaknesses and use the strengths to support the weaknesses. We believe curriculum is not one size fits all. Whereas one individual may need one thing, another may need two or three things. New Tampa Tutors is attentive to each individuals needs. What I like most about my job are the people I meet, both student and parents. Ive learned, everyone wants to help their student. However, most parents are not always equipped to provide strategies and techniques to help their student succeed. This is where my team and I come in and assist the caregiver in this area. I am most satisfied when, my team and I can do this service.

Mrs. Davis tutored both of my children over a period of a few years. She tutored my daughter for approximately 60 hours. Mrs. Davis was outstanding!!! My daughter is special needs (Down Syndrome) and the tutoring was specialized for her needs. Mrs. Davis was patient, loving and had the resources that helped her progress. She loved Mrs. Davis and learned so much. My son was also tutored for extra practice in reading. He looked forward to Mrs. Davis coming and progressed tremendously as a result of her service. Mrs. Davis was always professional, on time, prepared and organized. She is extremely knowledgable and her love for children adds to the wonderful service she provides. I would most definitely recommend New Tampa Tutors!!!

Sandra worked with my first grader with her phonics and fluency. I was truly amazed at the progress she made in just 7 weeks. Sandra made my very reluctant daughter comfortable and excited about reading. I would highly recommend her to others!

Mrs. Davis tutored my young son in elementary math. She explained the school work in his terms so that he understood the concepts. Having the tutor made homework less stressful for us as parents. She explained the processes in terms that he understood easily and the reinforcement she provided was very exciting going forward.

What types of customers have you worked with?
The types of job we do are strengthening the academic needs of the client in math, reading, writing and SAT/ACT preparation, as well as other entrance exams. Our services are very individualized and student specific. We do not follow a predetermined plan. Prior to tutoring, information is collected, via a norm-referenced test, observation, and client/parent report to share strengths and expose weaknesses. Then a goal or goals with objectives are written to address the client's weaknesses a number of hours per session, per week. We desire to serve the client.
