I took the CPR and First Aide class on line but there is no comparison to taking these classes with an experienced firefighter who teaches real life lessons. One example would be to use your two thumbs instead of two finger when giving CPR to an infant. Charles Barlet brings with him a wonderful sense of humor! I enjoyed taking his class and highly recommend him to anyone wanting to learn CPR and First Aid!
Naomi is just awesome! I am a performing arts director and I have had many students take lessons from her -- every single one of them got better, and sometimes the improvements were miraculous! Naomi is fun and nurturing. She is particularly good at "debugging" singers and helping them gain confidence, especially if their earlier efforts were invalidated. I highly recommend her!
Susan is wonderful, thoughtful, and really a treasure. She gets to know your voice on a personal level and is constantly catering her lessons specifically to you. If you're looking for the best vocal lessons you can find in Tampa, she's it.
My son started piano lessons with Mrs. Cain when he was five years old. She is a wonderful, experienced, teacher that cares for her students and their musical development. My son absolutely loves her and I would recommend her for anyone that is looking for a knowledgable piano instructor. She is patient and easy to work with! I have even taken lessons from her myself (an adult). Thanks to her for years as a committed teacher!!!!!
Working with Perry was awesome. I learned so much within a brief period of time; and totally ended up destroying my math test like a champ!
My daughter is seeing Gail twice a week to supplement AP Spanish class. We planned for her to attend once a week but she got so much out of the first few lessons, she asked to go twice a week! She thinks Gail is a FABULOUS teacher. She is fun and enthusiastic. My daughter looks forward to going to tutoring!
Marcia is an excellent piano instructor. I am very happy with the lessons my daughter is currently taking. Marcia is patient, and is clear in giving instruction and explanation to each step or lesson that is given. I would definitely recommend her!
Rob does a great job making my bass lessons fun and engaging, and is great at matching the material to the individual student. I really like that he writes things down for you to reference later and answers questions well. He's definitely taken the intimidation out of learning an instrument. Overall, he's very professional and is a teacher I'd recommend to anyone.
Engaging and educational, kept my sons interest. We are looking forward to more lessons!
Lisa is very welcoming. She made me feel very comfortable. Definitely knows what she is doing and understands everyone has their own starting point. I look forward to continuing my lessons with her.
Very impressed by his warm introduction and professionalism in his attire Easy to talk to. And of course lots of patience, with me u have to have lots! I look forward to working with him with my lessons. Ty
All 3 of my sons take music lessons from Mr. Maines and they love it! Thank you Maestro Maines Studio!
Drum lessons have worked out beautifully so far for my daughter. She seems to enjoy working with Alex and the whole processing of signing up and interacting with everyone has been professional and pleasant. We will renew lessons for next month!
I have been taking lessons for about 3 months now and it's probably the best decision I have ever made. Learning from Dr. T makes playing the guitar so much fun even when it gets aggravating because you cant place your fingers on the right chords haha and best of all, he keeps you on focus. He also makes sure your technique is top notch! What's a better way to learn other than the right way?! This class is literally my getaway. I have fun while learning and it's such a stress free environment where you can literally forget about everything and just focus on the music. Highly recommended!
Brendon is very professional in his work. From the very start he adapted his lessons and helped me become a better guitar player. Brendon helped me figure out the direction I wanted to go with guitar and I'm happier than ever with his decision. I've been playing for almost a year now and I'm so happy with my progress! I highly recommend you take lessons with him.
Rafael is like a grandfather to me. He allows me to call him if I have any questions and introduced me to a lot of new cellists to listen to. Rafael has been very understanding of my schedule as a full-time student and we meet at the most convenient time for me. His books and lessons always brighten my day and I always learn something new. He believes in his students and their talent, I couldn't ask for a better teacher.
I try to teach myself guitar through the internet... and I think it back fired. Rob was able to work with me with my odd mixed background. He has the great ability to work with you and utilize what you already know to help learning new material. We got started by reworking some foundational issue and some music theories. Then we added some finger exercises to build up strength and dexterity. We also set some short term and long term goals to work towards and look forward to. To top it off, he is able to work around my miserable schedule and is very flexible to accommodate my needs. I should have just saved myself the headaches and take some lessons right away instead of trusting the internet (never trust the internet). Highly recommend.
I am 56 years old and have spent my entire life (to this point) assuming I could not sing and was always envious of those who could. I assumed singing is something you were born with and that I was someone who did not receive that gene!! Gayle has proved me wrong (as well as all my music teachers in elementary school up through high school) Gayle is a natural teacher and is giving me the confidence to use my voice!! I am grateful for having found her and making me realize that everyone can sing! It just takes practice like any other activity!
Kiarah is an incredibly talented pianist and piano instructor!! She doesn't just teach you how to play piano...she teaches you how to make music!! She makes sure her students not only learn how to read music, but also makes sure they learn technique and proper form when playing in order to avoid hand and wrist injuries. She also holds recitals each year which are unlike any others I've attended. Her students are taught how to perform professionally in front of an audience. Both of my boys absolutely love lessons with her. I've used several teachers in the past and nobody compares to her!
Gail is a great teacher. She understands your goal and she works with you to achieve it. I'm Italian, and we are working specifically on accent reduction and pronunciation. I have taken many English classes in my life, but nobody has ever taught me how to speak better and sound better in English.
I began learning to play the cello with Gonca about ten years ago while in high school. She started me off learning the Suzuki method. She provided ample feedback and experienced advice on the nuances of performing during my learning, which is difficult to find in other experienced performers. Whenever I reached an impasse in my practices she would provide me with alternative studies to break through those difficulties. She strives to teach more than just the ability to play, but to cultivate the maturity to become a superb performer. Though it has been a few years since I moved away and had the pleasure to study under Gonca Huff, I am always thinking back to her instruction on every new musical challenge.
