I took the CPR and First Aide class on line but there is no comparison to taking these classes with an experienced firefighter who teaches real life lessons. One example would be to use your two thumbs instead of two finger when giving CPR to an infant. Charles Barlet brings with him a wonderful sense of humor! I enjoyed taking his class and highly recommend him to anyone wanting to learn CPR and First Aid!
Naomi is a real gem! I first came to her about 5 years ago looking to improve my voice. She took the time to evaluate what my strengths and weaknesses were and was able to structure her lessons around getting the results that I wanted. She helped give me the confidence that I needed to become a better singer and for that I am truly grateful!
Vocal lessons are something that I have never done before. I started out as an absolute beginner, and I can't be more excited that I am learning from Susan. There's such comfort in learning from someone so experienced and passionate, who does not compromise when it comes to teaching what needs to be understood. Not only does Susan have a great ear and is very focused, but she keeps you on track when you start to get distracted or flustered. I am so thankful that when I meet with Susan I am a guest in her home rather than a "customer", as I imagine other atmospheres tend to feel. This is something I look forward to weekly! Highly recommended!
Working with Perry was awesome. I learned so much within a brief period of time; and totally ended up destroying my math test like a champ!
I spoke with Dennis extensively before my first lesson and he assured me that he would be able to teach me how to play guitar. Dennis informed me that I would know the fret board and would know a song by the end of my first lesson. He asked me to give him eight lessons and he would prove to me that he can teach me to play the guitar. I was very hesitant in hiring Dennis because of all the past experiences I have had with other instructors. So, I decided to give Dennis a shot at this challenge. Dennis will be my final guitar instructor. If he can't teach me no one can. I have had 6+ guitar instructors since I started playing and taking guitar lessons as a New Year's resolution in 2016. I have struggled in this journey and I started to think that maybe playing guitar just wasn't for me. The time and money I was spending with other instructors and saw no progression was making me think this way. I have been playing and taking lessons for over a year now and still do not know one complete song from beginning to end. I have always wanted to play the guitar and want to possibly make this a second income source by playing for the public. Dennis arrived at my home for my first lesson this past Tuesday. He introduced himself and is very laid back and friendly but professional. We immediately went to work and he informed me again of what we were going to accomplish in that first lesson. That is exactly what happened! By the end of my first lesson I knew the fret board and learned how to play the song Knockin on Heaven's Door. He taught me more in the first hour than other instructors did in several lessons. I felt like a weight had been lifted off of me, because he made me feel like I can accomplish this journey of learning to play the guitar. Dennis does charge a higher price per lesson then any of my other instructors and his technique is wellworth it! Especially when you are in the comfort of your own home and who doesn't already feel comfortable with where they live? I know that I have only had one lesson with Dennis but he is encouraging and has excited me again about playing the guitar. Dennis delivered what he said he was going to do and that means a lot to me! As I told Dennis in one of our initial conversations, he will be my last guitar instructor. Because he will either teach me or guitar really isnt for me...
I started taking guitar lessons with Dr. T about two months ago. In this short period of time, I have been able to learn the fundamentals. Dr. T will teach you the proper technique, will be patient with you, and will modify lessons to fit your progress. I count that as a blessing because while I can pick up some stuff quite fast other stuff takes me longer. The Lessons are about 45 minutes; but if his and your schedule permit, he is willing to put extra time at no charge to make sure you are able to make progress consistently. One of the things that impressed me was that even on the first lesson we jumped right into it with no delays. He was very courteous and friendly, but at the same time very conscientious of your time since he understands that you want to get the most value for the price you're paying. Overall, Dr. T is a very good instructor. I had zero experience with the guitar before, and with his help I have noticed improvement already. The last thing I would have to say is that to learn to play the guitar you have to put the time, practice, be patient and committed and you will succeed.
It's been over 40 years since I studied Spanish. Interactive learning is the best. And it's fun! I highly recommend it!
We're starting our Spanish lessons in January, when all the holiday hulabaloo is over. . . I can hardly wait! My teacher was quite responsive, quite friendly, and quite professional. We might even get into French before it's over!
Engaging and educational, kept my sons interest. We are looking forward to more lessons!
Marcia is an excellent piano instructor. I am very happy with the lessons my daughter is currently taking. Marcia is patient, and is clear in giving instruction and explanation to each step or lesson that is given. I would definitely recommend her!
Brendon will start you where you are. Thoughtgul explainations. Your ability and understanding guides each session.
Very impressed by his warm introduction and professionalism in his attire Easy to talk to. And of course lots of patience, with me u have to have lots! I look forward to working with him with my lessons. Ty
Rob does a great job making my bass lessons fun and engaging, and is great at matching the material to the individual student. I really like that he writes things down for you to reference later and answers questions well. He's definitely taken the intimidation out of learning an instrument. Overall, he's very professional and is a teacher I'd recommend to anyone.
He taught me to play the piano in the months of February and March. He was always cheerful and upbeat. He always told me how well I was doing. I would still be his student if I hadn't gone back to Philadelphia. I'll be back in January to take more lessons.
I just had a quick question to ask Allyson about a specific piece I was working on. I could immediately tell that she knows her stuff. She was able to clearly answer my question, while also demonstrating her explanation on the piano. Whether looking for a quick answer or searching for ways to pursue formal lessons, I would certainly consider starting with Allyson.
I try to teach myself guitar through the internet... and I think it back fired. Rob was able to work with me with my odd mixed background. He has the great ability to work with you and utilize what you already know to help learning new material. We got started by reworking some foundational issue and some music theories. Then we added some finger exercises to build up strength and dexterity. We also set some short term and long term goals to work towards and look forward to. To top it off, he is able to work around my miserable schedule and is very flexible to accommodate my needs. I should have just saved myself the headaches and take some lessons right away instead of trusting the internet (never trust the internet). Highly recommend.
Kiarah is very nice and professionally young lady
Rafael is like a grandfather to me. He allows me to call him if I have any questions and introduced me to a lot of new cellists to listen to. Rafael has been very understanding of my schedule as a full-time student and we meet at the most convenient time for me. His books and lessons always brighten my day and I always learn something new. He believes in his students and their talent, I couldn't ask for a better teacher.
Our daughter really enjoyed her voice lessons with Bach Entertainment.
I am 56 years old and have spent my entire life (to this point) assuming I could not sing and was always envious of those who could. I assumed singing is something you were born with and that I was someone who did not receive that gene!! Gayle has proved me wrong (as well as all my music teachers in elementary school up through high school) Gayle is a natural teacher and is giving me the confidence to use my voice!! I am grateful for having found her and making me realize that everyone can sing! It just takes practice like any other activity!
I began learning to play the cello with Gonca about ten years ago while in high school. She started me off learning the Suzuki method. She provided ample feedback and experienced advice on the nuances of performing during my learning, which is difficult to find in other experienced performers. Whenever I reached an impasse in my practices she would provide me with alternative studies to break through those difficulties. She strives to teach more than just the ability to play, but to cultivate the maturity to become a superb performer. Though it has been a few years since I moved away and had the pleasure to study under Gonca Huff, I am always thinking back to her instruction on every new musical challenge.
