FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

In the many years I was at the Tampa Tribune and other publications, my work as a journalist regularly overlapped with the local judiciary and courthouse politics. Seeing the conflicts, constitutional and ethical issues that frequently plagued the legal community, I naturally gravitated toward the legal profession. Freedom of speech, the rights of the people, and justice for all are concepts that resonate deeply with me and continue to fuel my passion as an attorney. My private practice typically is geared toward criminal law and family law cases. But because our approach is one that is considerate of all the possible effects a potential court case can have on a client's life, we inform he or she of their rights not just for one specific situation, but also for any potential consequences and ripple effects.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Divorce, time-sharing, child support/FDOR, Marital Settlement Agreements, Prenups, Major Felony defense, DUIs, Warrants, Traffic cases, Appeals, Relocation, Enforcement, Pick up orders, Writs.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Many times, I see potential clients who simply sign documents that later prove to be fatal to their case or defense. What can be a seemingly unimportant phrase or date or sentence can have serious consequences. This is why it is so important to have an attorney review any document before it is filed. Understanding your rights and responsibilities in any court case or legal matter is incredibly important. It is for your protection, the protection of your family, and potentially your career. I would impress upon the potential client to ask as many questions he or she needs to see clearly the full picture.
