Rob does a great job making my bass lessons fun and engaging, and is great at matching the material to the individual student. I really like that he writes things down for you to reference later and answers questions well. He's definitely taken the intimidation out of learning an instrument. Overall, he's very professional and is a teacher I'd recommend to anyone.
I had always wanted to take voice lessons but due to the expense, it was something I had never pursued. It was only when I was cast in a community theatre musical production for a character outside of my vocal range that I decided to pursue the opportunity. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to study with Joe. He is very passionate about his craft. He is knowledgeable and efficient. His method of teaching is extremely comprehensive and with each lesson, I learned more and more. Over the course of our few weeks together, I expanded my vocal range and gained the confidence I needed to perform perfectly. My voice was noticeably stronger- not only to me, but to my family and my musical theater peers. He worked hard to accommodate my schedule and never hesitated to put in additional time. Recently, I was cast as a lead in another community theatre musical production. While my voice is pretty, I am confident that my ability to secure this role was because I had spent time working with Joe. I will continue to work with him throughout my community theatre endeavors and would recommend him to anyone seeking to improve their vocal range and/or skills. He truly is a wonderful teacher and this review does not do him justice.
All 3 of my sons take music lessons from Mr. Maines and they love it! Thank you Maestro Maines Studio!
Drum lessons have worked out beautifully so far for my daughter. She seems to enjoy working with Alex and the whole processing of signing up and interacting with everyone has been professional and pleasant. We will renew lessons for next month!
I started taking guitar lessons with Dr. T about two months ago. In this short period of time, I have been able to learn the fundamentals. Dr. T will teach you the proper technique, will be patient with you, and will modify lessons to fit your progress. I count that as a blessing because while I can pick up some stuff quite fast other stuff takes me longer. The Lessons are about 45 minutes; but if his and your schedule permit, he is willing to put extra time at no charge to make sure you are able to make progress consistently. One of the things that impressed me was that even on the first lesson we jumped right into it with no delays. He was very courteous and friendly, but at the same time very conscientious of your time since he understands that you want to get the most value for the price you're paying. Overall, Dr. T is a very good instructor. I had zero experience with the guitar before, and with his help I have noticed improvement already. The last thing I would have to say is that to learn to play the guitar you have to put the time, practice, be patient and committed and you will succeed.
My 9 year old daughter had never picked up a guitar before taking lessons with Brenden. She's doing great and is falling in love with it already. I'm so impressed that he's not just teaching her how to play the notes but everything from good posture to proper positioning to reading music. Brenden is personable, patient and professional (alliteration not intended). I would recommend him to anyone wanted to learn from scratch or hone your craft. He's a great teacher.
My family has been taking music lesson from Abby Peck for several years now. We have always been extremely pleased with the overall product that Abby (Evolution of Music) has provided. She is highly skilled and talented, but she also has a gift of keeping her music real, down to earth, and very heart-warming!! Abby is a true joy to work with and we are truly grateful for the beautiful gift she shares with us!!
Rob is very patient and so encouraging! I enjoy our lessons and he always follows up with a re-cap. He is always open to anything you want to learn.
five stars.. James is experienced ; understands my interests and how to help me approach my goals.
I provide beginner guitar lessons. I've played with a few professional bands, but I enjoy teaching beginners. I teach out of my home.
I am teaching guitar and bass guitar by ear. I have been playing for over 40 years. I have been playing professionally since I was 11 year old.
I provide music lessons for students of all ages. I have been in the music world for over 15 years and can coach a student to a collegiate level in guitar and an advanced level in piano. I have worked with written/classical notation and the Nashville Number System (used for more rock and pop songs) and I tailor my lessons to fit the way the student wants to learn, not the other way around.
I am a local music instructor in Wesley Chapel. I teach beginner, intermediate and advanced guitar and music theory education.
My name is Justin E. Walden, and I am from East Tennessee. My musical heritage stretches back to age 8 when I first started to learn how to play the guitar from my dad. He was the greatest musical influence in my life and still is. After exploring the guitar, I decided to venture out and try the banjo, then the mandolin, and finally the violin. I never really got into sports during my childhood, but I sure drove my parents crazy with squeaky strings when I first began to play. EXPERIENCE By and large, my full-time musical career started at around age 12 when I began playing with my family band, The Crystal Road Band. During my stint with my family band, I performed on average of 150 bookings per year. Here I alternated between instruments to fill in the gaps of lost members to maintain the full sound of the music. After 8 years of on-stage performance and studio sessions, I gleaned many insights on musical styles and concepts that have helped me in my musical career. While performing with my family band, I was able to also perform with some of the most talented performers such as Paul Williams & the Victory Trio, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, and many other great artists. I'm a self-taught guitar player. I do local performances around the university area. My main focus is to express the fun of playing music with others and to allow my students to become involved in the music-making process as early as possible. Knowledge of music theory is not necessary as I will teach you the ideas behind chords, melody, harmony, and rhythm. The purpose of these lessons is so that the student may feel at ease learning songs as well as jamming out with their friends and other musicians. Genres of interest include (but are not limited to) pop, folk, reggae, country, and jazz.
Hard question to answer. As far as I'm aware, I only consider the comfortability of the student at hand. Based on how they react, if they've had previous lessons, I can assess the situation, repair and move on to better things: playing the guitar/instrument.
A lot of music teachers only focus on technique and theory. And a lot of teachers just show people how to play songs. We show individuals how to do both. Having fun playing songs and knowing technique and theory are equally important, because if you just learn songs, you'll only know how to do that and not really know how to play an instrument. While technique and theory are important, it can be boring and frustrating to focus primarily on that. At New Tampa Music Lessons, we balance musicianship and fun by making sure that with each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept, but always end with something fun such as your favorite riff or song. We use a variety of method books to accomplish this and encourage students to bring CDs or their iPod to their lesson to learn their favorite tunes.
My services include voice lessons, piano lessons, organ lessons, music theory or history tutoring, writing tutoring, computers and software tutoring.
Learn to play your favorite songs, develop a deeper understanding of music theory, learn how to write songs, or take your playing to the next level.
From how to play rhythm acoustic to lead electric, we have the equipment and teachers to teach you. We offer basic theory classes and one-on-one teaching over the webcam. Please message me if you have any questions. -- Axel
