- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When thinking about a price quote, I consider the complexity of the gig, the distance, whether I will have to provide a sound system or not, how much rehearsal time is involved (especially if learning new songs) and the length of the event/ gig.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Besides performing original music (house concerts, venues, parties), I perform at a lot of weddings & private events- either instrumental guitar music, original songs or cover songs.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
The music "biz" is not as glamorous as it seems. . .It's really tough to carve out a living. However, I personally could not imagine doing anything else- it's a passion-driven lifestyle.
