I provide breezy yoga everyday for work and play.
This is my background.
I am an exercise physiologist, insured and registered yoga teacher, corrective exercise specialist, fitness specialist, fitness nutrition specialist, prenatal exercise specialist, and certified chair yoga teacher. I hold a Master of Science degree in exercise science and rehabilitation. I am currently a yoga instructor, exercise physiologist, health and wellness specialist, and patient educator in various locations around the Tampa Bay area.
This is my style and philosophy.
I teach multiple styles of yoga and popular group exercise classes at studios, corporate fitness centers, and hospitals. Infusing various elements of body movement, I help create a multisensory experience, which includes traditional yoga practice, kinesiology, exercise physiology, yoga Thai adjustments, sound therapy, guided meditation, nondrug-related pain management, and deep breathing techniques. I have a true passion for living the life of health and wellness both on and off the mat, and I use these experiences to fuse yoga and body awareness in every class.
These are my passions:
I truly believe yoga is a form of therapy for the body, mind and spirit. I also volunteer as a yoga therapist throughout the community in both studio and clinical settings, because I am an advocate of community service and local community involvement. I bring yoga to students and special populations, which include military veterans and caregivers, Huntington's, Parkinson's, ALS, and multiple sclerosis patients and caregivers, county health and wellness programs, women's jail programs, Ophelia young women's project, school wide children's fitness programs, and adults with developmental disabilities.
