Whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Carolyn Hilt as an excellent teacher/tutor. Very patient. kind, and understanding as she imparts not only knowledge but also builds self-confidence of each and every student. My granddaughter attended and graduated from Son Haven, the Hilt's homeschooling school where each child is taught as an individual with individual learning needs. Wonderful person as well as great teacher!

If it weren't for Mrs Mcnanna, I wouldn't have graduated HS. As a struggling math student I needed one on one guidance to understand the math concepts of Algebra 2. She was patient, attentive, and encouraging. I highly recommend Mrs. Mcnanna to anyone in need of math assistance. In 30 minutes per week in her home, she helped me understand and be confident in my abilities where other teachers missed their mark. She was alwasy available to me when I had a question, even when we weren't together, always kept her schedule on time, and just over all a great person to work with. This is the tutor you want.

I am most concerned about where the student is coming from. It is vital to speak on equal footing with them; I have seen, from both sides, the effects of a patronizing attitude upon students. We are all human and must admit to errors.
