So today was my first guitar lesson ever. As excited as I was I must say I was also a bit nervous. That being said, once I met Dave in person the jitters and butterflies were gone. Dave creates an awesome learning environment where you feel at ease and right at home. Dave was patient and explained things in a way that is easy to understand and grasp. Thank you Dave and looking forward to my next lesson.

I've had two lessons and could not be happier. Ed quickly accessed my level of guitar playing, and the lessons have built on that. While he can teach all styles of guitar playing, we are focusing on the blues, as that is my preference. Not only is he exceptionally patient, organized, and a fantastic player and teacher, he is also a pleasure to work with.

If you are looking for guitar or piano lessons for children and adults, Teresa Tullar's Music Studio is excellent. My wife and children have taken lessons for years and we love it. Teresa goes out of her way to prepare her students, giving them confidence and instilling a love of music. It is a welcoming experience. I highly recommend Teresa Tullar's Music Studio!

I wanted to start piano lessons for my 3 year old son and everyone thought he was too young. Not Michael! He gladly accepted the challenge and we are beyond pleased with the results. After only a few months, my son can now read music/notes and is working on a few songs. Michael is very patient, super punctual, and truly seems to love the art of music. I feel very fortunate to have found such an amazing teacher for my preschooler!

Very dedicated teacher, lots of encouragement. She started me right off on "real music", teaching me "The Times They are A-Changin" by Bob Dylan, and "Ripple", by The Grateful Dead. She has me practicing my bottom off, trying to keep up. I am 62 yrs old, so it's been hard to keep up, but that's good!

My 14 year old had her first lesson with Rob. She thoroughly enjoyed it. My daughter is self taught so we decided to take her playing to another level. Rob taylors his lessons. My daughter will continue with Rob.

My clients enjoy my form of teaching basic guitar, due to the way I mix the relevant learning of the mandatory skills, along with showing them their favorite riffs from songs they love. I always ask what a client is looking to get out of their lessons, and then make them happy by combining the basics along with fun jam lessons, which motivates them to come back to learn more with enthusiasm. You can watch any of my videos on YouTube by doing the search: peter barski (on the YouTube site) I'm starting to make one video per week. Any requests are welcome, just leave a comment under any video and I will learn the song and put it up!

Piano lessons are usually 45 minutes long and are weekly. I require students to practice daily and will make assignments in an assignment book. The lesson is broken down into three parts: 1.technical exercise 2. basic learning to read music or, for more advanced students, music theory as applied to the piano. 3, piano repertoire - pieces from graded repertoire books, standard classical repertoire, exploring different styles like jazz and pop Tuition is paid on the first week of each month for the entire month. Any absences must be made up within the same week of absence to maintain weekly regimen. Cancellation requires 24 hour notice. A keyboard is different than a piano. After six months of study, unless a student has a piano on which to practice at least 3 times a week, progress is minimal, students get bored and there is little advancement. I will work with students to find ways to put an acoustic piano in their lives and appreciate the open minds of parents in making room for a piano in their home. Any starter keyboards must be on a stand and have a music rack with a good light. The keyboard must have touch sensitivity so that the student can be expressive according to touch. Weighted keys, not just touch sensitivity, is required so that fine muscle coordination can be developed - without this feature, the student is trying to play tennis with a feather instead of a racket. The bench must be a piano bench style, not a chair and at a standard piano bench height. It's best if the keyboard has a dedicated place and does not need to be assembled on the stand for practicing each time. The sound of the keyboard is best listened to in the room rather than with headphones or ear buds. . A piano keyboard height measured from the floor to the top of the white keys will approximate 28 1/2 inches. The height of the bench is determined by the position of the arm as perpendicular to the floor when students rest curved fingers on the keys. If the student can also set up easy access to a CD player from the piano, we can take advantage of playing along with some very well produced CDs as part of many of the piano method publications. Thank you for considering these arrangements in your decision to contact me about lesson scheduling.
