Out of many contractors we worked with in the past, this "ASAP" owned by Michael Rosche turned out to be the worst of them all. The biggest red flag is that we only found out after the fact that it is not licensed as it claims to be for lots of work activities they are doing. He is not a legitimate general contractor at all. No need to take my word for it, just check on this existing RED Alert about this contractor . No wonder our projects with him ended in disaster! Bottom line stay away! http://www.bbb.org/west-florida/business-reviews/remodelers/asap-home-renovations-in-wesley-chapel-fl-90076232 All florida licensing dept, pasco and Hillsborough county licensing depts confirmed that this company does not hold a valid license! So do your research before you falling into its trap like we did. The owner did not follow standard practice in this field in a professional manner at all. He did not provide quotes and scope of work in writing, give you a low estimate to lock you in then trying to increase the cost during the projects. This was done on purpose to allow himself ample amount of room for inconsistency. Instead of focusing on the quality of the work they were doing, he's trying to talk you into new business opportunities with him and subcontracted the work to some other guy while he went on to do other work. Never offered us as customers an opportunity to review his work for acceptance, instead, he kept asking for final payment even before we got a chance to review what work was done. Instead of addressing our feedback, he left his staff working alone and claimed work was done once again even before checking on the actual status himself to confirm if the work is truly done! Two specific examples: 1. He convinced us to use him to clean and grout floor for the amount of money he quoted. The end result is that he used aromatic acid to clean the floor and swept the residuals to the back end patio paver without clean them up, even though he informed that they would pressure wash the patio to clean up the after work mess. But that was only a lie! The acids actually destroyed the lock'seal we put on the paver and left significant white marks. See pictures! 2. We paid him to build a summer kitchen for us, but the arrival of the gas grill was delayed. Before all the pieces of the kitchen were in place, he claimed his work was 100% done and requesting the rest half payment. We explained to him, that until the gas grill arrives and be installed, everything is in place as agreed upon, we can't not consider the work is done and the final payment will be issued upon actual completion of the work. Any eligible contractors would honour this standard practice. But shocking! When we requested him to return to finish the work he left, the ASAP owner acted like a 5 yr old sabotaging us with an abusive email claiming we were holding his final payment as hostage and he would never return. Well, the truth is as confirmed by the florida licensing authority, ASAP does not have the appropriate license at all to do the summer kitchen work, particularly install the gas related appliances! Be alarmed!

As a contractor in this community for the last ten years, I have developed a reputation for excellent work at a reasonble cost. Every now and then, a customer is unsatisfied for one reason or another, but this one takes the cake. We performed a variety of services for her including painting the interior of the home, building a fireplace to include an electric fireplace, cleaning the grout throughout the entire home and building an exterior enclosure for a gas grill. During the project, she asked for additional items such as installing ceiling fans, light fixtures, (5) new dimmer switches, rebuilding (5) closets that were dilapidated and falling down. At the time of completion, she felt that all of the additional services should be performed FREE of charge. It is true that we had not discussed a specific rate for these services, so when I presented the bill, I asked for a moderate fee for the work that had already been performed. Not only was I denied the labor AND the materials, but she witheld a substantial portion of the final payment in order to have me return and perform MORE items at no charge. You can't please everybody in my line of work, but you can try. This time, I was absolutely unable to satisfy this woman's selfish and greedy requests for my time and talents. To all other contractors out there, BEWARE!! Don't get sucked in by this selfish, arrogant woman. She goes by the name of Ellen Hunt and she lives in Grand Hampton subdivision in New Tampa.
