SoFLO (Nikki) has been my trainer 3X a week for 2 years. She is very professional with a plan in mind. She varies the routine sufficiently to keep the sessions from getting boring. Over this period I dropped about 30 pounds. I have had many trainers over the years and SoFlo and Nikki has been the best by far.
I was looking for a trainer who could focus on my specific needs in achieving physical test standards. I immediately liked how Raz was able to adapt and work on a routine that was geared toward my goals. I have been training with him for a little over 2 months and after every workout I’m sore, which I don’t mind because he turns it up a notch every session so I can gradually meet my goal. However, I’d like to emphasize that although he motivates and encourages you to give it your all, he has much self awareness on how difficult or tiresome a routine may feel to a person who isn’t in shape as him. Therefore, he will not make you overdo it because he wants you to gradually make this your lifestyle instead of getting overwhelmed or so gassed out you quit working out. Raz is very punctual! He’s always 10 minutes earlier than scheduled ready to go. He’s also willing to meet with me at a local park on Saturday mornings (rain or shine). Another thing I really like about Raz is that unlike other trainers, he’s never looking at his watch. I don’t feel like he’s trying to rush out of my session to go running to meet another client, which demonstrates me he has good time management skills and does not overbook. Also, besides the quick warm up and cool down, he’s not one of those trainers that wastes almost the entire session by telling you just to do cardio or use the gym machines. His workout are diverse and he will bring a lot of his own training gear if you’re gym isn’t fully equipped. In 2 months I’ve gone from not being able to run one lap to running almost 2 miles non-stop. I continue to improve in my other PT goals and once Raz saw I was good on one thing, he decided to dedicated my sessions to my weaker areas. Lastly, due to a possible relocation for work, Raz has been flexible with my payment options and even offered to reimburse payments for any session that has to be cancelled if I move. I would recommend Raz to anyone looking for a professional, punctual, friendly, and knowleadge trainer.
Hannah was extremely knowledgable about training on top of making adjustments specifically catering to my sport and journey to be leaner. I was extremely impressed with how she found ways to connect the weights and movements to being explosive in my sport. It was also cool that she was detail orientated enough to demonstrate each movement to me and explained why I would benifit from doing it. Our first couple training sessions she also let me know what might make me feel uncomfortable or sore so I knew what to expect going into each movement. I felt motivated and supported with each training session due to her encouraging and bubbly personality. She has a very special way to connect with people and you will know what I mean once you train with her! She keeps things serious but definetly makes pretty funny jokes about day to day life... if you can appreciate a serious trainer with some humor, you will love her. Every time I arrived to train with Hannah, she was ready and prepared the second I got there. She was also very responsive and easy to reach if I ever wanted to schedule more or less training and/or had questions about nutrition or additional stretching. Inaddition to the training sessions, Hannah spoke to me a lot about goals. She is very passionate about wanting to support you in achieving whatever and where ever your goals are in the gym and outside of the gym. I’ve trained with several trainers but it’s hard to find great ones like Hannah! I would recommend her to anyone whether their a high level athlete or a beginner in the gym!
I'm really glad I chose you as my personal fitness trainer. It has only been two and a half weeks and I have lost ten pounds and 3 inches. I'm getting use to my meal plan!! But I'm going to be Summer time fine in Jamaica 2016
I started trainging with Leah in the fall of 2013 and I have had the best experience! She has changed my whole life! I went from a unhappy, overweight, no exercise type of person into a 6 days a week gym rat. I am hooked and I couldn't have done it without her, she is always changing it up so the workouts are never boring or repetitive. She always takes the time to explain and demonstrate the exercises, which was great for me since I didn't know any of the moves. My husband is thrilled with the results and for the first time in my life this mother of two can't wait for bikini season!!
I've been working with Bill since Fall 2014, and I was extremely nervous when I began. I was always on the chunkier side, never athletic and spent my college years and early 20's struggling on and off with eating disorders. Working with Bill was the best decision I've ever made because it gives me concrete numbers that show me I am getting stronger and healthier, even if I don't see it myself. As someone who never participated in any athletics, I was nervous but Bill explains every move, what part of which muscle its working and why and most importantly to me, he's safe! Almost a year and a half, and I have NEVER gotten hurt, which was one of my biggest fears. Anyway, Bill is knowledgeable and flexible - if there's a move that I really cannot do, he comes up with a way to modify it right there and then to make it work and to me, that shows that he knows what he's doing. I've stopped training temporarily whether it be vacations, illness and I love that I can pick up the phone any time and tell him I'm ready to go again. Things may be a little rough at first but he's always right there to push me back to where we left off. He goes above and beyond to make sure I have everything I need - whether it's lending me pre-workout drinks, straps, belts etc for the workout and you just don't find that anywhere else. I recently moved and stopped by other gyms just out of curiosity but every week I make a 40 minute drive to work with Bill. I wouldn't do it if it wasn't 100% worth it! He's the best!
World Class.. Jeremy has worked with me my entire professional boxing career as well as many other great high school, college and professional athletes. Being a competitive athlete since 1989, I know a what it takes to be a well conditioned athlete. All sports, call Jeremy for training. I would never recommend any other coach.

I've had a few trainers in the past, despite enjoying working with them, the knowledge was never retained nor was I encouraged or shown how to one day go off on my own. When my sister recommended Jessica as a personal trainer, I wanted to make sure we were on the same page by sharing my goals with her. I wanted to learn how to make steady lasting dietary changes, a balanced weight training and cardio routine that I would feel comfortable to one day do on my own, self sufficiently and safely. It was apparent that Jessica was enthusiastic and an extremely knowledgeable trainer, but most importantly she was more interested in the well-being of others than "selling sessions". Jessica has a good attitude, is down to earth, and genuinely cares. Her education and background really helped me in many ways. Even thought I have a pretty good understanding of exercising with proper form, she was able to pinpoint very helpful things that typically only a Physical Therapist would notice. When I had a back injury she adjusted our workouts accordingly, was very tentative not to let me injure it further, but also to strengthen it to prevent future injury. She is very in tune with body mechanics, locating the source of posture and form issues, and providing solutions to correct them. Jessica is very organized, she always provided me with copies of our weekly workouts and would have weekly goals for me with assignments for me to work on when at the gym or home by myself. Jessica always took the time to answer my questions with good solid advise and would always respond right away to emails and texts, she would also check up on me if she hadn't heard or seen me during the week. You know you have someone special when you look forward to training sessions and you really want to please them! If you are looking for a trainer and you have specific goals you would like to achieve (weight loss, strength training, training with a variety of injuries), need someone to educate and motivate you with a variety of exercises, or have no idea where to start... Jessica is the best trainer to start with, go long-term or short term with, and provides excellent special care for training with injuries! Bill Corey is an amazing personal trainer. I've gone to several gyms and I've never had a trainer like him. The trainers I've all had were slightly racist, mean, rude, and always discouraging. He's a brilliant man for coming up with ways to combine several exercises into one, he's straight to the point, and is always motivating me to work more. I didn't even like going to the gym until he inspired me, being as stubborn as I was I challenged his thoughts earlier, he knew exactly what to say as a reply back.
John is an exceptional trainer. I have worked with many trainers in the past, and it is hard to find someone who understands all aspects of a 'great workout'. Most trainers will have you warm up, on your own, before you start your session; then afterwards there is no cool down/stretching. John understands that stretching, warming up AND cooling down properly are all part of the workout and combined, they give you a better result. He has a keen eye for proper form as well. He will point out any corrections right away and does a wonderful job of working with injuries. He has incredible patience and cares about his clients' performance and their end results. John's extensive knowledge of the body and varying workout techniques allows him to adapt to his clients' individual needs (injuries and all!) and give them the ultimate workout they come to him for! Take it from someone who has been training and working out for over 20 years: John is the trainer you want to work with!
I reached out to Savannah for assistance with my nutrition. If you're going to put in the time for workout you need nutrition that furthers your goals. She has gotten me on target and I look to hit my body fat goal by the time I get my bikinis out. She is easy to reach, responds quickly, and is so affordable you can't afford not to partner with her.
Bobby is a former competitive bodybuilder and has been in the Fitness industry for probably over 20 years! He is very personable, has a great sense of humor, and works with you so you see results! He doesn't carry around his cell phone as he's training you because form is important and he wants to make sure his clients are getting the most bang for their buck. Next time you're at a gym look around and see how many of the trainers are looking at their phone instead of their clients. I would highly recommend him!!😁
I came to Thumbtack because I was l looking for someone who could get me to a professional bikini body level. Serge was the first trainer to answer my inquiry, I believe he answered the same day. I asked him a couple of questions, which he answered promptly, after that we set up a date and time for our first meeting. Serge made sure to choose a gym where I felt comfortable and where I wouldn't feel intimidated by the equipment. We got right to work right away and that same day he sent me a detailed e-mail with the supplements, meal-plan, and gear I would need. Serge is very laid back, funny, and has a great personality, so whether you're a male or a female he will make you feel comfortable working with him. In my experience with Serge; I have not only found a great trainer, who I feel confident can get my body where I'd like it to be, but I also feel like I've gained a real friend :-)
Training with Christian has been nothing short of life changing. He is an incredibly talented personal trainer and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to nutrition. Never in a million years did I ever think I would step on stage as a fitness bikini competitor. Christian's training lead me to 1st place in my first ever bikini competition and I'm now a proud owner of a Pro Card!! Ive trained with Yaniv for more than four years and have made remarkable progress thanks to his expertise as a strength coach. We started with basic lifts, movements and kettle bell training and then moved on to the classic power lifts: bench press, squat and deadlift. In that time, Ive gone from being a skinny couch potato to competing in my first powerlifting competition, where I deadlifted 390 pounds (more than double my bodyweight) and eventually reached my goal of 405. My squat hit 315. Yaniv does a great job of fostering healthy competition to make people push themselves harder and his commitment to his own training makes him an especially strong motivator.
There aren't enough ways for me to describe what an incredible trainer Miguel is. If you commit to giving him your best he will give you 10x more. I trained with Miguel for almost a year all together before I moved out of state. In that time he helped me transform not only my body but also my mind. Our training didn't stop in the gym or with our sessions. I always received encouraging texts throughout the days and weeks and he made sure to hold me accountable when it came to my nutrition as well. Aside from helping me achieve my goal of competing in a bikini competition, Miguel became somewhat of a life coach. He believed in me when I didn't and pushed me beyond anything I ever thought I was capable of. I can honestly say that he is the reason that I decided to go back to school and finish my degree. He revealed my own strengths to me. I am so thankful that I had the pleasure of working with Miguel and will forever cherish my time with him as my trainer and friend. I was pretty unmotivated before the workout, since I haven't worked out in such a long time. But, before I could even start Alex pumped me up and gave me encouragement. I don't know, it's just something about him. His great smile and attitude really helped me through his tough workout. Yes, the workout was tough, but IT WAS DOABLE. There was moments I felt like giving up, but Alex would keep pushing me through. He's so passionate about his job. He's so passionate about helping others. I've had other trainers and coaches before, but Alex has been my favorite. I can't wait for my next session!
I have been training with Gretta for about 11 months now and she has completely helped to transform my body and the way I look at myself. Thanks to Gretta I am about to compete in the NPC Bikini Competition which is something I never thought I would accomplish. She has been an amazing coach who is always there for me. I joined Brian's gym to get wedding-dress ready and I can honestly say, it was the most fun I've ever had working out! The classes were tough, but the competitive yet team-oriented atmosphere kept me motivated. I've done Beach Body's Insanity, T-25, and Body Beast as well as the Daily Burn's Inferno and all of these pale in comparison to this program. Join the team and you'll see results!
You really can't find a personal trainer with this much experience for this price! Aly was my soccer coach and trainer for years, and now has over 20 years of experience! She has done everything from helping older people walk again, to train people for intense fitness competitions... She's one of the few trainers out there that will actually do a full body fat analysis and nutrition plan along with her training. She will do training at the gym, in your home, or e-consulting if you're a train-on-your-own type like me. I would trust just any joe-schmo trainer out there who just got their certification...kinda scary. You can really tell this is her passion, and she really cares about her clients. Go ALY!
