I hired George to remodel my bedroom and bath (paint, install laminate floor, fan, toilet, shower door). After one hour on the job, he almost doubled the price of the whole job just for some he called "extra wall prep" of my 6 X 12 bathroom. After inspecting what was done on day one, I was more than unhappy. Minimal wall prep, the closet was painted, toilet removed and fan hung (which shook an has to be reinstalled). On day two, he installed the vanity light BEFORE painting that area, never primed the walls, which he said needed priming, and he also broke a piece of the light. By noon, I asked him to leave. He tried to charge me over a thousand dollars for the work done. Which was MINIMAL at best. I paid him by the original quoted price for a day and a half work. Now he has threatened to sue me for the remainder. Get an estimate in writing if you're going to use this guy and hold him to it.

I had put a nice professional response up on May 28 2015 to Susan’s review and then she contacted me and misunderstanding was all takin care of to Susan’s satisfaction , “she found out that her boyfriend who was home and watching us was drinking all day and thought we were getting paid too much and told her he could do what we’re doing and said she throw us off the job because we are not doing it correctly and he sabotaged our work while we were at lunch and then blamed us , but somehow someway my response got deleted explaining everything about this in late 2016 , so I complained to Thumbtack to somehow find it and put it back up and they did and now 3 yrs later it’s deleted again and Thumbtack says they can do nothing about it this time , it’s been too long ! It’s not fair to me or my company ! I’ve been in business now almost 40yrs this July and I have a very successful business with many many happy satisfied customers and 95% of my business is word of mouth !

We were referred to Palm Beach Fix It by respected friends Yesterday, our new front entry doors were installed by Palm Beach Fix It. From start to finish, it was an absolute pleasure to deal with George. I am used to dealing with the typical South Florida work attitude, which is somewhat lackadaisical at best. George proved that hard work and professionalism do still exist! He was so helpful in picking out the doors and explained which doors would work best for us. Our previous doors had become brittle and were rotted out. George recommended we upgrade to a fiberglass front entry door which could stand up to the Florida weather. He helped me select the most beautiful faux wood door. George was extremely thorough and professional, all the while being very respectful of our property. He worked the installation without a break until his own high standards were met. Nothing was left undone. George, we cant thank you enough for such great service. We are happy to recommend you and Palm Beach Fix It to all OUR friends.
