Matt was wonderful and professional. A very hard worker and very courteous when talking to me and very patient. He worked hard at trying to do the job by himself until more help arrived. I would recommend using this company again. The only problem was they didn’t come when scheduled but that wasn’t a problem with me too much as I was not on a limited time schedule. Moving overseas and hired these guys to pack and safely box, pad and wrap furniture, frames, art etc and other odd sized items that does not fit a regular moving box. The guys arrived 1.5 hour late while my truck driver was waiting. Then I had to wait another hour because they had brought too few moving blankets and had to purchase more. They had to use my rugs and my packaging materials at the end of the day, since they did not bring enough. Lots of items was only shrink wrapped and not padded or protected, even they knew I'm moving overseas and my items will stay in a container for 1.5 month with truck and sea transport! Last, they did a horrible job stacking and packing my items in the container and I'm sure I will have stuff broken and tumbling around during the 1.5 month of cargo freight. I ended up paying 50% more because they had only included 10 moving blankets in offer....who can ever pack a whole house with 10 moving blankets??? Hey Jakob, The only way to reply to your feedback is with simple facts; transparency is key in our industry. We have a 13 e-mail string of communication in which you first asked us to drop boxes and packing materials off to you, which you then declined when explained the process of purchase. Your exact words were "I'm fully covered now :-)" and would have everything picked before our arrival. My guys were slightly late due to traffic, and for that I apologize (30 minutes). However, when I came to your home to give you a flat rate quote, you in great detail explained that the container would be dropped at your home. There was no mention of a truck driver charging you hourly, and quite the opposite stating that the container would be freestanding. The most important fact of our business is simply that we wrote you an impeccably detailed contract, that you read and signed 3 months in advance. We came to your home fully prepared with e x a c t l y what was written in plain English, with no hidden agenda, in your 3 month prepared contract with us. We brought every efficient measure to protect and move your home. You paid extra for blankets because moving blankets have a cost, and we charged you exactly what we paid for them after you requested additional blankets. This comes to light as we sent one of our guys, free of charge, to go pick you up significant amounts of new moving blankets for you as a gesture of good faith. We came with 10 moving blankets because we expressly discussed that we would sell you 10 blankets, and even wrote in the contract. However, now you're bringing 70 moving blankets overseas. I couldn't be more regretful that your move didn't go as you expected, but I also know that we operate with full transparency. As a result of that, it's hard to logically deduce fault on our end. We appreciated that the guys called and said they would be a little late, when they arrived they hit the ground running. All our stuff was wrapped professionally and I didn’t find any damaged items. This move went fast for a three bedroom house and the price came in considerably less then quoted and I appreciate the honesty. I also want to mention that all three guys had great attitudes and were very friendly. Lisa and I would definitely call again if we move, but hopefully not soon.Aug 13, 2018Verified
