Introduction: Ive had several years in schooling in visual arts but after a year at Maryland Institute College of Art, I decided to leave and channel my fine arts talents in more marketable ways aside from my own personal art. I incorporate the same mindset, processes and determination in 'creating' cake as I would with art. There are too many cakes I find that look great and taste the opposite, and then vise versa, cake that could potentially taste great but the aesthetics aren't as pleasing. My cakes both taste and look like perfection. "Find something you love to do, and you'll never work a day in your life" - Harvey MacKay Like the majority of bakers, I enjoy the cliche of my job - everything! From baking, to decorating, experimenting with delicious flavors, you name it. As it has been said before, "everyone likes cake!" It's a true statement but I want my customers to sincerely LOVE their cakes, which they usually do and it feels great when you're all done. I want people to have experience a cake that is up to parr with their major special events. What I also love the most about my job is the freelance part of being able to do all my work from my personal baking kitchen built in my own home.
