But the amazing thing about this project is not that Roberto Torres Sr. did a beautiful job. Previous reviewers made it clear that he would. But this project did not call strictly for a handyman. What it called for was a problem-solver, and that is what I got when I hired Roberto. I could not recommend anyone more highly. OK. The project: There were 27 old, ugly ceramic tiles adhered (with who-knows-what) to the stucco walls of the atrium when I bought my house, and I have been living with them for 12 years. One painter told me the tiles couldn't be removed without permanently gouging the walls. One contractor said maybe the tiles could be sanded and painted. No one wanted to tackle the job. So when I described my project on Thumbtack yesterday, I couldn't really say what I wanted done. Only what I didn't want, which were 27 ugly ceramic tiles on my atrium walls. Roberto asked for photos, and said it looked interesting. He offered to take a chance on wasting his time and gas to look things over. He arrived promptly this morning as promised, evaluated the situation and solved the problem: He popped the tiles off the wall, chipped off every bit of sticky stuff beneath them, then primed and painted the whole thing. You would never in a million years guess that anything whatsoever had been adhered to those walls. Nor would you guess that major work had been done in my house today. If there is a Good Housekeeping Award for handymen, Roberto wins it hands down. He is going to put before-and-after pictures on his site and I hope you will look at them. This stunning rehab job took him about three hours. I'm impressed.

Had to lay a wood-look rectified porcelain tile floor. Tedious work which he did an amazing job for a reasonable price. I am extremely happy with the results.

Gabriel and his team were very professional and thorough throughout the project. Prices weren't the lowest quote we received, but were extremely fair. The work was very good and well worth it! We replaced all of our floors with new "wood plank" porcelain tile, added some electrical, eliminated a pantry and relocated some cabinets. There were some adjustments and changes throughout the process, which were accommodated without flinching. He made us aware of the additional costs for these changes before proceeding with the work to ensure everyone's satisfaction, which we appreciated. Some of the grout settled a bit after installation and additional cleaning was required. Gabriel sent his team out the next day to fix it and the floors have been great ever since!

Will use again! ***** 5 stars. I used another contractor off thumbtack who no showed me....I had worked Christmas night busting up tile, had an appointment set two weeks in advance and I called Mike out of desperation. My pregnant wife was at the in laws, along with my dogs, and I have a huge New Years party with family in from out of town to throw at the house and no tile or carpet in it. It took Mike and his team just two days to lay down 460 square foot of porcelain tile with grout, along with new baseboards. And it looks absolutely incredible. He heard my sob story, showed compassion, and cared about the project and gave me a very good price when he knew I was in a pickle and could have up charged me...but he didn't. I am completely embarrassed I didn't hire him to begin with on this app. Now I know for next time. Easy communication, and they pick up after themselves. Thanks again Mike! The wife and I are absolutely beside ourselves on the incredible job. The New Years party goes on!!

I enclosed a loft wall on the second floor so it required scaffolding. Rich was diligent and did a clean job, including the fixed glass window and painting. He also opened a new entrance into the bathroom, installing barn door. He cares abut his work and it shows in the result. He's also fair and honest.

"We're very happy to have found Leo and Nery for interior projects! In just three days they remodeled two large hallway closets, including demolition of a wall, installation of new doors and moldings, custom shelving, sanding, and painting. They were always punctual, informative, transparent about prices and cost of materials, and generally a pleasure to work with. We plan to hire Leo for another project soon."

We hired R&L to tile our kitchen. He showed up on time, was extremely professional and meticulous with his work. Our kitchen floor is absolutely beautiful. We will be hiring R&L again when we are ready to do our two bathrooms. With that being said, I highly recommend R&L for all your tile and marble needs.

Fernando installed our porcelain kitchen tile and did a fabulous job! We chose 6"X40" tiles for our small galley kitchen, which made it a difficult install. But Fernando was very meticulous and cut each piece perfectly. We will definitely be using him again for a future bath remodel.

We recently remodeled the entire bottom floor of our townhome and Exela Services made a wonderful job at installing the new wood-like porcelain tile. Throughout the installation they were very professonal! I would recommend them without any hesitation and will be using them again when needed.

Robert installed ceramic tile backsplash in our kitchen. He was quick to reply to our ad and arrangements were made easily. He arrived earlier than the arranged time and we are happy with the completed job.
