It's been awesome having piano lessons with Ms. Doreen. She's such a friendly teacher, she has been incredibly patient to an adult beginner like me. I've had so much fun and knowledge attending her lessons. My piano playing skill is about to become better week by week.

I am an adult not having taken piano lessons for a very long time. I very much enjoy Debbie as my teacher. She is extremely patient and very personable. Debbie is very knowledgeable and knows her craft. She was able to quickly perceive what I needed to get me started on the right track. I highly recommend her!

Holy Cow, who knew piano teachers would actually come to my house? This was easy, Marissa (she’s in charge) scheduled our lessons with a member of her teaching staff. Addison Viets is our piano teacher and we are loving our lessons. Super easy. Thank you Addison for brining music back to our house and getting our kids playing the family piano. Guess I’ll have to start lessons soon.

Wonderful experience learning to play the piano with Ms Leslie! She was very patient and personable during our one on one private lessons each week. Every session was personalized to accommodate my learning pace while still challenging my capabilities to play some of my favorite songs. I quickly surpassed musical goals that I had set for myself and highly recommend scheduling a lesson with her regardless of your current skill level.

My son and I enjoyed working with Melissa. She was always on time for each lesson and came prepared to teach. Melissa made piano lessons entertaining too. My son lilked her personality and humor. She also asked for input, regarding song choices, our preferences, and any likes or dislikes I had, about my son's lessons. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who would like to learn piano.

Francisco is a great music teacher. My daughter is shy and she immediately took to Francisco. They developed a great relationship. Francisco had her playing two songs in no time. He also worked with her on her chosing selections that were good for her for school auditions. Francisco not only teaches the music, he teaches to the child, he recognizes where the child is and reaches them there. Within two to three lessons you hear the difference from your first lesson. I initially wanted to pursue lessons with Francisco as well however due to financial constraints only one of us could at that time. And after my daughter's first lesson, we realize she should be the one. We miss him terribly and have not found a teacher to his caliber yet - do not let his quiet quirky demeanor fool you - his is a all around great person - we miss him much! Should you come back to NY we will be your first clients!!!

Brian was a fantastic piano and guitar instructor for my daughter. He truly makes learning fun for a teenager. He was always on time, patient during lessons, and his amazing talent was inspirational. Plus he has a great personality and gets along well with parents. His fees are very fair, too. (My daughter stopped lessons because she went off to college.).....Additionally, Brian is a wonderful entertainer for parties. He recently played at my mother's 85th birthday bash. EVERYONE loved his beautiful classical guitar music.

I have been taking piano lessons with Daniele for several months now. He is very attentive to details, and has helped me improve my technique and musicality. He is an easy-going person who provides clear and helpful explanations about how a piece is put together, and how to best bring out the sounds of the piano. Highly recommend lessons with him!

About

As a teacher, I focus equally on formal technique and personal expression. Mastering correct form provides the foundation, upon which a student's capacity for the latter may grow. I view our time together as an opportunity to encourage musical and personal growth. My goal is to encourage discipline while fostering creativity. Maintaining the student's interest by adapting my teaching methods to every individual is an important focus, as is engaging the student by allowing him/her choice in the material we learn in lessons. This not only facilitates a cooperative environment, but also allows me to tailor my teaching style to the student's interests, strengths, and learning preferences. My tuition for private instructions are as follows: * 30 minutes for $25 * 45 minutes for $37.50 * 60 minutes for $50 I believe music theory is an important focus for a student to understand how tones relate to each other in any piece of music. These relationships will be explored aurally, visually, and tactilely in all lessons. In teaching, my goal is to encourage students to learn and grow independently. In my studio (or your home), mistakes are opportunities for improvement. For the duration of our lesson, you (or your child) are in a nurturing zone of freedom of expression. Join me in an exploration of personal talent and creativity.
