Prices for residential appraisals vary based on the size of the property and amenities, as well as the type of appraisal required.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Appraisers are required to obtain 30 hours every two years of continuing education; there are many more opportunities throughout the year that help to keep us updated with the new regulations and banking laws. Market knowledge is a never ending education.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I like the fact that appraising allows me to split my time - some out of the office environment for inspections, and then also be able to do research and data entry on my own time. Its made for a great profession to have while raising a family.
