Introduction: I am an engineering consultant, and I provide tutoring services in mathematics and science. I am a former NASA flight controller at Houston and a member of the Lunar Landing team that put men on the moon. Visit my website for more infomation. I can provide tutoring via internet or at a convenient location for both of us. I tutor in math through calculus (arithmetic, algebra, trigonometry, plane geometry, solid geometry, analytical geometry, differential calculus, integral calculus, physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering) I tutor students from elementary school through college. First hour of tutoring, and initial consultation are free. This gives you a chance to see if I can be helpful to you at no cost to you. In the past, I was asked to help a 10 grader who was failing in geometry and chemistry. He was an aspiring baseball player and could not make the very good high school baseball team because of his failing grades. He had other tutors, but they were not effective. We connected and through my tutoring, his final grades improved to a B in geometry and a C in chemistry,,, and he was qualified to play on the high school baseball team. Also, I helped a graduate student write his thesis and a college student in calculus. At the initial consultation with two college students, I felt that in each case a tutor was not needed and discussed it with them. Each one agreed and their confidence was boosted based upon our discussion of my assessment of their abilities. My philosophy is that, after my assessment and our discussions during the initial consultation, if the student and I decide that tutoring is not needed, then why should the student incur the expense and extra work of tutoring sessions when they really don't need a tutor. Of course, it is the student's decision and I will be glad to provide the tutoring services if the student so desires. I will devote my time at no cost for my assessment and discussion with the new prospective students to determine if a tutor is really needed for them. If so, then we will schedule the sessions and start the program. Also, I will not charge for the first hour of tutoring with no obligation for future tutoring services if the student is not satisfied.
