FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Due to Covid, I charge $50 for a 50 minute lesson to allow airing out between lessons. $28 for half hour lessons (25 min.) There are no registration fees, no recital fees, and lesson times are flexible. I take cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, and credit.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After establishing the student's goals, we do a few vocal warm-ups and diagnostics to assess what is needed to move forward. Then we explore specific techniques that will help them achieve their goals. Next, we practice using the techniques in song literature. The goal is to nurture artistry and confidence wherever they are in their vocal development. Occasionally I refer students to other professionals if it serves their needs better.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied music at Florida State University and UCF, where I earned my music degree in voice and choral. Post grad work includes studies in children's voices with Doreen Rao at Northeastern University and Kent, England. I've also had extensive training in acting and theater performance which informs my work. I also completed three semesters at the CCM Institute at Shenandoah University.
