Mariposa Project International Dance

Introduction: I am a professional principal dancer (stage name Mariposa) as well as a pure dance troupe member (Sarasota, New York and Taipei, Taiwan). I dance using the following props; shamadan, candle tray, votives, veil, fan veils, fans, zills, wings of Isis, sword and cane. I teach zumba, belly dance and belly dance props, flamenco and Latin dances. Dance Training: Flamenco, Flamenco Fusions, Belly Dance (Theatrical, Dark Tribal, Traditional and Lyrical), Zumba Instructor (certified since 2010) and Ballroom Dance Instructor Trainee (Arthur Murray). I established my own Flamenco Dance Company in New York -- Danza Flameca (2007-2010) Mariposa Project International -- Forming my dance school in Yucatan, Mexico (2014 and 2015) Dance Experience: Performed throughout: Manhattan and Long Island, New York; Sarasota and Orlando, Florida; Taipei, Taiwan; and Merida, Yucatan in Mexico. Performed at the following venues: New York - Richmond Shepard Theatre, Suffolk County Community College, National El Salvador Festival (2007-2010), El Salvador Consulate, The Sullivan Room, Mazika Hookah Lounge, JeBon Sushi (DJ Jam), Gizzis Cafe and Lounge, Lafayette Bar and Grill, Various Active and Assisted Retirement Communities, Libraries, Schools, Hookah Lounges and Fundraisers.
