We are still working with the firm to get our case completed, but so far, so good. I love, love, love the communication. If we send an email we can expect a call or email back promptly. They've been great with getting documentation over to us and giving us a thorough explanation on the process and what to expect. They've made this experience headache free for my husband and I and we really appreciate that. I would definitely recommend Marcy Millard and her team to my friends and family.

I'm very glad I found this law firm. They were experienced, responsive, and supportive through a very long and stressful process. I highly recommend them to others- and would use them again without hesitation. Thank you!

Let me start by saying that I am forever grateful for Marcy Millard, Jill Byers and the rest of the team! I have been working with them since 2011 to obtain sole custody of my son. Their expertise and ability to navigate through two complicated court battles was invaluable. What makes this team so special, though, is the level of support and compassion they showed during such a difficult time. We worked together to build our strategy and they were completely invested in helping me protect my son. I cannot thank them or recommend them enough!

Testimony to the Millard Law Firm, . by Eli Cuadra As I was already divorced for nearly three years I had almost if not nearly given up that my custodial writes and any hope for my children would never be a addressed issue. For three years I watched hopelessly as my children jumped town to town school to school with no avail ,my concerns of my minors two children living in poor conditions and there education being ripped away from them was a issue that bothered me and worried me day and night, at times my children would disappear for periods of up to six months even as a father paying child support, my writes were violated repeatedly. When I would go to the schools of my children I would be asked to leave because I was on a no contact list or listed as a stepfather. My son who is now five years of age is in his first year of school and secure, it is good to know that Marcy and Jill of the Millard Law Firm took on my battered and beaten case with a eye for demand and immediate attention for the sake of my two minor children. It was the idea that someone would believe in my children and give me hope that things could be fixed and I would retain my writes and my children who in everyway felt the pain of their torn and tattered lives, at one point my children became homeless and I was not informed until it was to late.Well once I met with the team of the Millard Law Firm I could tell all of that was about to change. Marcy and Jill who more than informed and excellent negotiators worked endlessly to have my case reopened and heard. With their efforts I was given full joint legal custody of both of my children and final say so on there medical and educational stability. Which turned out to be the best because now I have a word on every matter concerning my two wonderful happy children and its only been a few months since the final hearing but my children are so well adjusted to there new schedule and love being able to know that they are cared for and truely blessed because two extraordinary Woman who from the Millard Law Firm stood up on behalf of them.It is my personal pleasure to say Marcy and Jill are the very best at what they do and they will help you and see that justice is fair and firm for any person be it a father or mother or if you just need advice these two amazing woman will pick up the phone sit down write it down and see it though. In the midst of my divorce, I knew that I had Marcy and her team to keep me on track. If I had a question, it was answered quickly. Marcy explained early on that I needed to try and keep the emotional side out of the divorce as much as possible. I truly think this helped me stay focused on what was important. During this very difficult time, I knew I had extremely competent people in my corner. I have already recommended Marcy to two friends that are getting divorced.

My case was handled swiftly from the beginning till the end. Marcy & Jill and all the ladies in the team updated me constantly. They also anticipated problems that might come up if I start up wrong in the case before I decide to proceed. They both gave me options which resulted amazingly quicker than I anticipated. Although my case involved that I can be emotional with regards to going back and forth with my questions and emails they didn't try to suppress it but they let me express myself on the case. More power to the ladies team of Millard Law:)

Had a fantastic consultation with Ms. Millard. Not only did she take the time to understand my three year odyssey she provided sage advice and recommended to defer retaining her services until and if they were actually warranted. Now, how many times are you going to hear that from a lawyer?

Marcy Millard and her team really went the extra mile for me in a time of need. Applying for a mortgage after my divorce, underwriters indicated the language of my original child support draft (other attorney) was too vague as to the age out of my children. This last minute wrinkle was going to completely prevent my home closing from happening. Marcy's associate, Jill Byers, immediately took it upon herself to draft a proper support modification, personally took it to the courthouse right before a holiday break, and had the judge review, sign, and doc stamp it. It was exactly what underwriters required and the Millard team made it happen. Other attorneys in the area indicated the process would take several weeks to a month, if I were "lucky". I highly recommend this firm.

It is hard to put into words how highly I regard Marcy. I could not have chosen a better lawyer to represent me. She is extremely intelligent and knows the law. She has a very reassuring manner and a sparkling personality as well. She is quick to respond to any questions and concerns and makes you feel as if you are her only client. Because she is so knowledgable, caring and practical, one can expect the best outcome in any case she handles. Anyone who chooses her will quickly realize they made absolutely the best decision. As much as it is possible to take the stress out of a divorce, she does. Everyone who works at her firm is outstanding as well.

Q&A

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
First, someone looking for an attorney needs to find someone they trust. This person will be fighting for not only that person's rights, but also their most cherish possessions, their children. It is most important you trust that person can perform to the level you wish. Secondly, you want to select someone who keeps you informed of the process and the status of your case. Otherwise, it is very easy for your case to not make any progress and your issues remain unresolved. Next, you want to make sure you find an attorney who specializes in family law. Family law has become more complex and is ever changing. It is important you select an attorney that knows all aspects of this area of law. Finally, you want to hire someone who practices in the county in which you live. It is important that your attorney know how the Judge assigned to your case typically rules and that the Judge be familiar with and/or trust your attorney.
