FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work with my clients to determine the services I provide are within their budgetary constraints. A 100,000-word novel could cost anywhere from $500 (for proofreading) to $1000 (for rewriting/developmental editing). Screenplays start around $750. I have been known to come in under that if I love the idea and am included on the credits.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to maintain an open line of communication with my clients. If I'm given a book to edit or a screenplay to write, it makes sense to write/edit the first few pages to make sure my client is happy after the first few chapters or scenes before tackling the entire project. It only makes sense.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a published author and have edited several books that have been published. I've also written, co-written, or edited twenty screenplays.
